The Lost Elements

Chapter 1

Brenda's POV:

   *Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

   I woke up to the dreaded noise of my alarm clock. I snoozed my clock and went to my bathroom. I looked at myself in my mirror. My green eyes looked dull, my strawberry blonde hair is basically a bird's nest now, my full plump lips are covered with drool (which I would never admit to anyone), and my ripped baggy clothes were even more ripped than the night before I went to sleep. I ignored my look, not really caring since I was poor and ugly ever since. 

   It took me at least less than 20 minutes to get myself ready for school. I was now wearing my Tortoise shell colored glasses. My strawberry hair was now tied into a ponytail and I was now wearing my school clothes, and was considered baggy compared to the other girls in my school who wore very short slutty skirts and their tops were extremely short, showing their stomach, and their cleavage showing through their tops. 

   I walked out of our little house, if you would even call something this small be called a house. I walked to the hill where I usually meet my childhood friend, Nathaniel De Thanatos. He was quite the nerd like me. He wears his black glasses over his deep blue eyes (which I actually found attractive), his dark brown hair is set in a short pompadour, his refined jaw always making him look less nerdy and the fact that nobody knows how he is an elementalist or who his parents are and what is his element. 

   I finally found him slowly walking towards me with a smile. That smile that sent butterflies to my stomach ever since we became friends. That smile that made me fall for him. And the fact that he may be the only elementalist that doesn't look down upon me, a Mundane. 

   "What? Is something on me? WHAT IS IT?! DID SOMEONE HURT YOU?!" Nathaniel asked worriedly. 

   "No, it's nothing," I replied. "It's just I remembered it's my birthday tomorrow and I will just be more bummed out because I will just have the confirmation that I am just Mundane like my parents and their parents,"

   "Oh come on, you shouldn't be bummed out, everyone cheers up when they see my handsomeness." he smugly says with a smirk. 

   "Yah right, come on Nate, we might be late," I said. We were just walking to school, chatting like every single day we were together. I gawked at him for a few.....dozen....times. Then out of the blue, strong winds lifted us up form the ground and was sent flying like paper into the bushes with our papers and books scattered all over the place.

   "HAHHAHAHAHHA" The elementals laughed at us. The elementals are the strongest of the elementalists. The fire elemental is Tony Ze Aidan. The air elemental, who knocked us down, is Salvador Von Boreas. The water elemental is Mariana Di Agua. And the earth elemental is Jordan Ze Cassiel. 

   "Fucking *wheeze* LOSER *wheeze* BITCHES" Tony said in between laughs. Tony then came towards us, then burn our books and papers needed for school. Mariana then casted a water ball and got us wet, but Nate blocked me so he got most of it. Then Jordan casted a hole below us so we can fall in, and she dumped mud over us, which again, Nate blocked and got most of it. Then, they went away, walking to school. 

   I started crying because of how messed up our lives are. 

   "Hey, hey," Nate said trying to cheer me up, "stop, don't worry ok. Actually, scratch that, you should worry, you look like shit."

   "HEY!" I said amusingly. He always cheers me up no matter what and I actually liked it. 

   "Hey, come on! we need to get back to my house, it's closer and I think I have clothes there," I said. We ran towards our house, soaking wet and left our burnt books and papers. Once we got to my house, we decided that I would take the shower and he would take the hose in our almost non-existing back yard. Once we were done, we looked through my closet. I only had one more baggy uniform and another tight slutty one. I don't know how that got there but I'm definitely not taking the tight one. 

   "Um...." Nate said.

   "Oh, yah," I said, "You have an extra set of uniform at the back, you left it here once." We then got dressed. "Before I forget, I have a copy of our papers but not our books."

   "Ok I have an extra set of books at my home. I'm going to run there and we'll meet up at school and hope that we are not late and not get any detention either," Nate says.

    "Ok bye!" I said running to the school. While Nate, running the other way to his house.
