Chapter 5: the secret/the disease

Cupheads POV

I was sitting in the alley way next to where I could hear the whole conversation of bendy and mugman talking about me.

".....no i-i think I love him..." Said bendy with a bright smile while looking back at mugman

My eyes widened as I looked off into space my blushing deepened as he said those words. '...I love you too...'  I thought.

I felt my eyes shut as I fell in a deep sleep

Bendy's POV

I was staying up for watch out because mugman have fallen asleep out in the open and it was already dark so he will need to wake him up soon and to look for Cuphead because he hasn't seen him in a while.
I then head something coming from the alley way so I got up and went to check. With my gun in case it was one of those ink creatures again.
But when I turned to face the alley I saw something totally different...it was Cuphead asleep... my eyes widened at the sight of him asleep.
'crap! how long has he been there?! And to think if he heard my conversation with mugman!' a deep blush spread across my face at the thought of me and Cuphead being together and him confessing.

I heard a screech from one of those ink creature things. I turned around but didn't see anything...

"it sounds close...it must be near..." I mumbled to myself

I got ready holding a grip on my gun and as I was about to pull it out I turned and looked above from hearing another screech as the creature pounced on me and causing me to scream in pain due to how the ink is taking over what feels like my whole body... Luckily my scream had woken up mugman and Cuphead, I heard Cuphead yelling my name as I could tell that they where trying to get me out of this state It was with that the creature which they did but just in time shot it dead which splattered into ink just making my condition worse by swallowing some of the ink on accident. As they where trying to get me uncovered in the ink so I tried standing up which I did but just collapsed on my knees coughing up ink as some covering my face.

Cupheads POV

As me and mugman uncovered bendy's body that was soaked in ink, he then tried standing up but only causing him to collapse on his knees to just then started to cough up ink and his face along with it being covered by ink as well  which I thought was normal for this to happen since the creature was made out of ink so it kinda made sense...

"BENDY!!...Are you alright?! Did it hurt you?!..." I said while rubbing his back to which made him calm down a bit...

"...i-i *cough* *cough* n-not really..." He said in between coughs of ink...

I now was beginning to think:
'was this how the ink disease was spreading?...what happens if bendy was now going to turn in one of those ink creatures?'
