The girl loosens her heavy scarf as a wall of thick, humid air hits her. She smiles. She can already feel the magic.
All of a sudden she is overcome with fear. What if it isn't everything she hoped for? What will she do then? She grabs the boy's hand. He squeezes it reassuringly.
"There he is," she hisses to him. Sure enough, there he was. Slowly but surely making his way over to his nephew and neice.
"Uncle," the boy greets him.
"Yuri," he nods. Then he turns to look at the girl. "Olesia," his voice is softer now. "You look just like your mother."
Olesia gives a tight smile.
"Well," says their uncle, stepping away. "Let's go collect your luggage. Oh, and welcome to America."
