Bellamy Jones is a tall, skinny, 17 year old boy. He used to have brown eyes, matching his dark brown hair, but over time his eyes have turned into a light grey colour. He says that the summer he spent in Spain was the reason.
He went when he was 12, with his foster mother, Helen. He has been living with her since he was 9.
Before Helen, he stayed at an orphanage. The worst years of his life. At the orphanage, he would often misbehave.
"Bellamy, behave!" The woman shouts over a classroom full of kids. "Bellamy behave" little Bellamy mocks the woman. Kids laughing with him. He smiles.
He had a best friend there, her name was Aurora. One teacher would always refer to them as siblings but Bellamy didn't like that because they looked nothing alike. She had light, brown skin and black hair. He'd often tell her that her name was stupid, but they'd almost hang out everyday. They loved to play pranks on people and, one day it got out of hand.
They found bleach in a cupboard in the staff bathroom, and planed to smear it onto the floor, by the entrance of their room. So the teachers would slip and fall, when they try to wake them up, in the morning. A lot of the bleach went on Aurora's hands, she didn't know what bleach was, or what it could do.
After bellamy and Aurora were done smearing the bleach, Aurora starts screaming at the top of her lungs. The bleach had gone into her eyes. People woke up, the principal woke up.
For that, Bellamy was punished, thrown into a cell in the basement. The cell he stayed for the rest of his days at the orphanage.
Bellamy wasn't an good kid so it was easy for the principal to hate him, and he did.
He yelled and tortured him for years. And near the end it had become so brutal that at one point Bellamy almost died.
He will always remember the moment when he laid there in the dark, on the stone, cold floor. Tears in his eyes. His breathing becoming more painful with every breathe. He had a wound in his back, caused by a knife. He had been beaten to death.
He felt himself lift up,above his body and hover over it for about an hour, then fall back.
Bellamy had been between life and death. When he entered his body again and took a deep breathe, the air was so cold, but refreshing. He healed.
It surprised the principal a lot when he came back and Bellamy was alive "How did you, what- but you were?" Was all he could form his words into
He didn't die, even though he was supposed to.
There was a word he found at the library once,a long time ago. The word stuck out to him, more than any other word could, immortality.
He often wonders if he is immortal, or was that even a thing.Maybe what had happen was just a simple gift from god, a new chance to start over and live a fulfilling life.
Vampire, he could be a vampire, just a vampire that can see his reflection and eat garlic and, well, he had gone to Spain, where there is a lot of sun.
Bellamy is too scared to ever test the theory of immortality, it was most likely going to be a question he is never going to answer.
His foster mom says that he is lucky because, he didn't die. But she doesn't know how it felt, it felt like something more.
"I'm gone!" Bellamy yells, before shutting the door. Bellamy is homeschooled. Helen didn't think it was a good idea to put him in a public school after everything.
