Chapter 5 - Mentor

Bellamy takes a big bite out of his hamburger. They are at McDonalds, it's almost empty. "you know what? I forgive you for throwing me off a cliff, it's cool man" Bellamy says taking another bite.

"so what's your name?" Bellamy asks with his mouth full of food. "Asher" he questions "or Derek!"

"Barry" He cuts him off. "Barry?" Bellamy repeats disappointed "just Barry?"

"Just Barry"

"Damn, I was hoping for something badass like Mufasa!" Bellamy exclaims. Barry blinks slowly at Bellamy, who's stuffing his face with fries. He then stands up, "I'm finished" he claims.

Barry stands up and Bellamy follows him to his car, "so are you like my mentor now?" Bellamy smirks. "you could say that" Barry responds. "I think we're are going to be great friends Gary!" "Barry" he corrects him.

"So are we like super strong? Can I throw cars at people?" Bellamy asks super excited.

As Barry closes his car door he looks over to Bellamy, "you know this isn't some joke, they chose you for a reason"

"who did?" Bellamy asks.

"The gods" Barry replies.

Bellamy's serious facial expression goes away as he bursts out laughing, "am I like a superhero now?!" Barry rolls his eyes and starts the car.

"There are many things that come with immortality. Such as, you get more strength, your vision and every other senses become stronger. Also the eye color" He explains.

Bellamy hadn't noticed that Barry's eyes were also light grey. Maybe that trip to Spain wasn't the reason his eye colour changed. "will I stop ageing?" He asks. "It depends on your blood, is it dark red?" Barry asks.

"No I don't think so", Barry pulls the car over, on the side of the road. He takes a pocket knife,out of his pocket and cuts Bellamy's palm, he groans in pain "whoa that hurts."

His blood was normal red. "Well, you're not going to stop ageing yet. When your blood turns black, that's when you stop ageing." Barry explains. Bellamy squeezes his palm in pain.

"Is yours black?" He asks.

Barry nods. "how old are you? Bellamy asks again. "let's just say I've been thirty seven for a while now" Barry claims.

Bellamy was overwhelmed with all of this information but there was still a classic question on his mind, why him? "I'm going to help you evolve your power and help you control it" Barry explains.

"Why do i feel pain if Im immortal?" Bellamy asks. "That's a thing we are going to work on."

"So I can be immune to pain?" Bellamy asks excited. "Physical, yes", Barry replies.

"you know you can't tell anyone about this", Barry says, looking Bellamy in the eye, like a strict parent. "it's not like anyone will believe me" bell responds, lightly.

"I'm serious, some people know about us and those people are dangerous " Barry states. "how do you know?" "I just know." Barry states coldly.

Bellamy is awoken by an obnoxious alarm, he has never heard before. He opens his eyes and sees his alarm clock that he has never used before was beeping. Bellamy turns it off and rubs his face.

Helen almost falls into Bellamy's room when she opens his door "Bellamy! Get dressed! You're going to school", she demands. "w-what

"I enrolled you a couple of months ago for a public school and the principle called, yesterday while I was working, and you were asleep when I came home" Helen says.

Bellamy groans, and falls back onto his bed, "I don't want to!" he cries. "get dressed! It's for collage" Helen says then leaves.

Bellamy groans while getting dressed. He can't believe he's going to attend a public high school. He dresses himself in black jeans, black hoodie and black sunglasses. He was is not looking forward to this.

Helen drives him to school and parks in a driveway, "the principle will greet you at the entrance "why" was the only thing Bellamy had said to his mother, the whole morning.

"I'll pick up okay? Love you" Helen says. He groans and walks out of the car and walks inside.

Many people were walking in the same direction as him. He sighs as he gets closer to the front door, he was officially going to tend high school.
