y/n's pov

the bus rounded a corner and the was the school, buckingham high school. we pulled into the bus lot and came to a stop, the bus doors opened, and since we were in the very back, we had to wait a little while. i took a deep breath, then realized i was shaking a little, finn must've noticed cause he wrapped his arm around my shoulder, "you good?", he asked making eye contact with me, "yeah, im just a little nervous", i told him. "don't be nervous, you got us, we're here for you, okay?.", he said giving me a reassuring smile and a light hug.

we all thanked ms leslie for the ride and got off the bus. "first, we'll take you to the office to meet the principal, let's say i have close connections with him-", jaeden says, then wyatt cuts him off, "no shit, you're dating his daughter-", now it was jaeden cutting wyatt off, "and you'll meet my girlfriend lilia too". we all walked into the main office and jaeden led us to the principals office, he opened the door and peeked his head in,"hey mr buckingham, do you have a new kid in your school records coming in today? if so, she's here and im friends with her.", who i assume is the principal replied, "good morning to you too jaeden, and i do have a new student coming in toda-", "LIT, SHES RIGHT HERE!", jaeden yelled, causing a scene, he grabbed me by the shoulders and pulled me into the office, finn, jack, and wyatt walked in too. "hi", i said trying not to be awkward, "hi! im the principal, mr buckingham, nice to meet you- you're y/n, right?", he said shaking my hand, he was a lot nicer than the principals back at my old schools that's for sure, "yep that's me, nice to meet you too.", i replied. "i was going to have my daughter lilia come show you around, but now i see you're friends with jaeden, finn, jack, and wyatt, they're good kids... most of the time-", mr buckingham joked but was then cut off by the boys offendedly gasping. "WHAT DID WE EVER DO TO YOU?!", jack yelled, then they all laughed, then mr buckingham continued, "but yeah, you're lucky you've got these boys to show you around and im sure jaeden will introduce you to lilia.", "yeah", i said. "well, it was nice meeting you y/n, im gonna get back to work, boys, you know where to take her to get her schedule, ill see you guys later!", we all said 'bye' and walked out of the main office.

"now to the counselors' office, it won't take as long cause we're not close with any of the counselors, but the bell's gonna ring soon so we have to do it quick", finn said as we walked towards a building a couple yards away from the main office, it was labeled in big letters 'COUNSELORS' OFFICE', we walked in, the lady at the desk seemed like she was annoyed, she rolled her eyes and harshly asked, "what do you need", 'oh wow', i said in my head because of her attitude, finn walked up to the desk, "she's new, she needs her schedule,", he said in a polite way. the petty lady looked at him then at me and let out a breath, "last name?", she asked once again annoyed. "l/n", i told her, she pulled out a drawer, went through a portfolio, which took a while, and pulled out two half sheets, "here's your first semester schedule, i need to take a copy of that and you can look over your second semester, but im going to need that one back", she said handing me both, we compared them, they were the same except my electives, first semester i have art, second semester i have drama. my schedule was:

1st per- art-ms purser-with finn and jaeden
2nd per-pe-mr keery-with all four
3rd per-english-mr skarsgård-with all four
4th per-science-mr harbour-with wyatt
lunch-we're all together
5th-math-ms ryder-with none of them
6th-spanish-ms muschietti-with finn and jack
(at my high school, freshmans don't take history so that's why i didn't include it, for some of y'all who are confused)

i handed the schedules back to the lady, she walked into a back room, then the bell rang, we all looked at each other, then finn spoke up, "you guys can go, ill stay with y/n.", the boys left and it was just me and finn waiting for my schedule. about a minute later the lady came back out, "here's your schedule, who are your first period teachers, so i can write you guys excused notes?", she asked us in a more kind tone, finn replied with, "purser", the lady nodded, got two notes, and started to fill them out, "names?", "finn wolfhard", "y/n l/n". she finished and handed them to us. we thanked the lady and walked out of the counselors office, finn lead me to ms purser's classroom.
