The Sleepover

Weeks have passed since the girls last encounter, Cheryl not knowing if she's ready to go public with her relationship and Toni being fine with taking it slow

But after awhile Cheryl holds auditions for the Vixens and Toni wanting to keep Cheryl away from whatever hell went on at her house decided to try out,

Cheryl willing said okay as she was happy to see the girl enjoying everything about Riverdale High

Toni stole the show, which shocked Veronica and Betty who had practiced a routine for their tryouts along with a kiss that was unrehearsed and sparked a teenage romance between the two girls

This is where we start, Toni has secured her spot as a Vixen, and Cheryl has invited her  and the inner circle Vixens (and Betty) to a sleepover.

Toni smiled when Cheryl called her over to a small group of girls, out of four other girls she she knew only two Veronica and Cheryl

She knew Veronica from her homeroom as they sat next to each other in the class, it was obvious where she knew Cheryl from she decided to introduce herself to the darker skinned girl who's hair was tied into two braided buns first

"Hey I'm Toni."

"So I've heard." The girl said looking at Cheryl who was now a light shade of pink

"My girl Cheryl has been talking about you an awful lot lately, I'm Josie." She said with a smile

"Nice to meet you Josie."

"Nice to meet you too."

Toni turned her attention to the blonde girl her figures were intertwined with Veronica's, her hair was in a tight ponytail

"And I'm Betty Cooper." She spoke before Toni could say anything

"Nice to meet you too." She said before looking at Cheryl who was watching the interactions

"Great now that you're all on a first name basis, we should have a sleepover in honor of Toni joining our squad."

Veronica rolled her eyes Cheryl clearly had a new favorite Vixen happy that Cheryl found another person that she could trust but only slightly peeved because she and Betty hadn't gotten a sleepover, then again half of the girls in the inner circle had just joined.

"I could use an excuse to leave my house my brother Chic is creeping me out, I'm in." Betty chirped seeming excited about the event

"Me too, I've never actually been inside the Blossom residency." Toni said crossing her arms

"Her mother is the devil." Both Veronica and Josie spoke their voices now cold

"It's true, I feel like she's plotting to get rid of me." Cheryl said in an all to serious tone

"Okay everyone you're dismissed." She said the pep back in her voice, shooing away the Vixens

Veronica, Josie and Betty went to the locker room to change, Toni however stayed behind

"What did you mean when you said 'Plotting to get rid of you' Cher?" Toni aked her arms crossed

Cheryl muttered something about making sure all the Vixens leave next time

"Go change and I'll tell you at Pop's if you're still going."

Toni nods and went to change Cheryl followed shortly after and they both headed to Pop's after the redhead changed

The two sat down at a booth when they walked in Toni greeting the former Serpent King who waved back

"What did you mean Cheryl?"

"The other night I went down stairs to get water, and I heard my mother talking to someone saying 'She'll be there in about a week I need to finish some business first' at first I ignored it but then she kept pressing me for information about Vixens practice and who I've been hanging out with and I think she's planning something dark."

Toni took a moment to process the information

"So what you're saying is that I need to keep you out of the house?"

"What no you don't have to." Cheryl objected

"But she's clearly planning something and I don't want you hurt." Toni whisper yelled

"And I'm guessing the Wicked Witch doesn't know I exist?"

Cheryl nodded, unsure if Toni knew about the homophobic tendencies of her mother

"Well then stay with me and when she checks for you in the two places she knows you would be Veronica or Josie's she might think something happened assuming she doesn't care enough to look anymore you'll be safe."

"Right but what if Veronica or Josie tell her where I a-" she said not even disagreeing that her mother wouldn't care if she disappeared

"They won't if they're decent people." Toni sighed and grabbed Cheryl's hand

"Now I'll help you pack tonight at the sleepover, we can tell everyone our plan then."

Cheryl nods a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips

"Thank you TT."

"Of course Cherry Blossom."

Timeskip

Toni had been the first to arrive at Thistle House, Veronica showed up soon after and then Josie and Betty

The girls went to Cheryl's room almost instantly, Penelope wasn't home so they had time

Toni looked at the four girls sitting around her

"I'm assuming Cheryl began telling you the plan?"

Betty nods, Veronica sighs and speaks up

"I have one major question why wouldn't Cheryl stay with me or Josie?"

"Those are both places my mother knows I go, if I went there she'd find me."

"Right well why not my house?" Betty asked perplexed

Cheryl was frustrated and Toni could tell so she grabbed her hand and gave her a reassuring look, that's when Cheryl knew it was time to tell the rest of the girls what was going on

"Because Toni and I are dating, Josie only knew about our first date but after that she thought we we had just become really close friends."

Veronica smiled and hugged Cheryl, she had been up until this point unaware that Cheryl had any sort of romantic attraction towards females

"That's awesome Cheryl." Betty said hugging her cousin

Josie joined the hug Toni soon after

"So Josie, Veronica, Betty you can not tell a soul that I'm doing this, Not Kevin, not Jughead not Archie I need to make sure my mom has no idea where I am."

"No problem Cher, we got you." Veronica said smiling

Josie nods "Anything for my favorite girl."

Betty smiled "I mean I don't hate you enough to hurt you so not a problem."

Cheryl smiled "Okay girls how about we all go to Pop's my horrid mother will probably be home soon and I've already packed."

The girls all nod in agreement and they went to Pop's Cheryl of course going with Toni on her motorcycle

"Thanks Toni, we haven't really been dating that long but it means a lot."

Toni nods "Of course, just be careful around my uncle he's a massive asshole."

Cheryl smiled "Thanks for the heads up babe."
