"Believe me, I know. I've sunk pretty low, but whatever I've done, you deserved," Romans voice speaks calmly while tightening his grip into a fist.
"Roman..." Thomas approaches slightly, reaching out to him. "Quiet!" The knight's voice sharp and demanding. "I'm the bad guy, that's fine. It's no fault of mine..," Roman mutters as he walks over to his black cape. "And some justice at last will be served." He hissed out while putting on the cape.
"Please, listen..." Thomas softly grips his hand, only to be shoved off.
"Now it's time to step up, or it's time to back down," Roman softly says, walking towards a vanity dresser. "There's only one answer for me..." The knight grabs his sword tightly, before glancing at his 'king'.
"And I'll stand up and fight, cause I know that I'm right. I'm ready as I'll ever be..." He huffs out walking onto the balcony, feeling the wind blow through his hair and cape, as the black rose flower crown dug into his skull.
The wind blows softly reaching the small army on the cliff just outside the palace. A single man stands at the edge, holding Romans red sash. He grips it tightly before turning around to speak to his fellow castle staff, Logan and Patton.
"Now it's time to rise up, or it's time to stand down... And the answer is easy to see." Virgil walks closer to the two men. "And I swear by the sword, if you're in, get on board. Are you Ready?" He raises the sash and wraps it around his neck as a scarf, before looking up at the army behind his comrades.
"I'm ready." Patton mutters putting his hand on top of Virgil's only to be followed by Logan, muttering the same words. The army behind them shout's they're ready, as Virgil turns around looking at the palace. "Ready as I'll ever be..." A tear rolled down his cheek.
Logan walks off to the side, with Patton close behind, who sweetly grabs his hand. Logan sighs before turning to the younger boy. "Are you quite sure we can do this...?" Patton smiles, "Together we will, guarantee" pulling Logan back to the group.
Roman gazes upon the group from the balcony, a wicked grin on his face. Virgil looking directly at him from the cliff. Patton walks up to Virgil, "We'll save our home, and our family" he mutters, referring to saving Thomas and helping Roman, putting his hand on the leaders shoulder, "We're ready as we'll ever be." Logan and Patton helps the boy onto his horse before joining him on their own horses.
"I'm Ready As I'll Ever Be..." Roman grins while closing his eyes, only to reopen them, glaring harshly at the hill, his eyes no longer honey-brown hazel, but now a wicked yellow glow.
