Adjusting back to being home, after a good month of photo shoots, interviews, studio time, among other ventures have both parents feeling grateful to have a day to do absolutely nothing but spend time together as a family of three and a half.
"You're going to want to come home to a nice cooked meal one day and I'll have everything burnt." Demi teases, trying to scrape the burned toast off the scorched pan.
"Good, we'll just make love all night to cover it up. We'll squeeze in some pizza beforehand." Trey suggests, licking his lips.
Demi laughs loudly and turns the stove off.
"This isn't funny, it's so embarrassing." She replies, throwing her head into her hands, still laughing at herself.
"You tried, and looked very cute doing so baby."
Demi shakes her head, still feeling overwhelmed.
"Come here." He whispers before wrapping his arms around her, melting away her stress.
He peppers her face with kisses, making her laugh before carrying her to the large sectional in the living room.
"I can guarantee you, you don't burn everything and you're a wonderful cook." Demi cuddles close to him on his chest as he throws a blanket over both of them, and orders Postmates.
"You're just trying to butter me up." Demi rolls her eyes as her husband kisses her cheek.
Trey studies his wife's face, falling in love with her features as he embraces her.
"Those big brown eyes and freckles are my weakness." He responds as Demi, unbeknownst to him, is having thoughts concerning a tabloid she saw about herself recently.
She grows quiet and begins to speak up, shifting in her seat as she crosses her legs.
"I saw a tabloid the other day, and I know I shouldn't be bothered by it whatsoever, but it said, "How Demi Lovato-Neverson lost her baby weight and is gaining it all back" and I don't know how I feel about it, especially being pregnant. I feel like a stuffed chicken."
Instead of giving her an immediate answer, Trey kisses her lips softly, calming her down a little.
"You're so perfect just the way you are and your body is a home for our children. It's beautiful and unique."
"You're only saying that because I-" Trey cuts her off yet again.
"Because I love you." Demi simply nods and lays her head on her husband's chest.
Trey peppers his wife's face with occasional kisses as he runs his hands up and down her back.
"I love you, too." She whispers.
Twenty minutes into cuddling, the doorbell rings signaling the Postmates delivery, making the couple groan.
Demi gets up and waddles her way to the door, grabbing their breakfast. She returns with their bag, ready to devour the contents of the bag.
"I forgot how amazing these were." Demi exclaims. She and Trey subconsciously sit at the dining room table, say their grace, and go right into eating.
Trey chuckles as he wipes cream off Demi's chin and licks his finger.
Demi watches the baby monitor and sees Layla still asleep, so she continues to eat.
The couple finish breakfast and resume cuddling, peppering each other in sweet strawberry kisses.
Demi grabs Trey's hands and looks into his eyes, giving him a lovesick smile, melting his heart.
The joyous and romantic moment is cut off when Demi's phone rings.
