It was two hours into the flight and I had my headphones on while reading a book, Ariana Grande belting her high notes in my ears blessing them. I decided to put the book down once I got halfway into it and decided to sleep. When I got to London it would be morning and I didn't want to be jet lagged once I was there. I closed my eyes and felt myself drift off into sleep.

I was awoken by one of the flight attendants saying we should all be seated and that we were descending into Heathrow Airport. It was 10:45 am and it was partly cloudy. I peered out the window and looked at the city below me. 'Looks like I'm not in Verona anymore, here's to new beginnings' I thought to myself as I sat back in my seat, feeling us slowly get closer to the ground.

We finally landed and I exited the plane and headed for baggage claim. After grabbing my bags, I headed to customs and ordered an uber. I found my driver and we headed for the school. Although this was a high school, they treated it as if it was a college campus. It had dorms in an apartment style building as well as different buildings for different wings of the school. Everything was pretty close together despite its large size. And a shopping mall was very close by that we could get things for our lively hood without breaking the bank. From what I read online it seemed like a pretty cool place. I just hope that the people are nice here.

The car dropped me off in front of the main building and the driver helped me get my things out of the trunk. I headed over to the automatic doors and instantly felt the air conditioning brush against my skin.  I put my things to the side of a  waiting chair and made my way to the desk that read Student Services.

"Hello, how may I help you?" A woman with piercing blue eyes and light brown hair said to me as she adjusted her slightly rounded glasses.

"Hi, I'm here for the new semester. My name is Ingrid Welsh." I stated, answering her question.

She typed out my name on the computer and pulled up my information.

"Alright Ingrid, You are in building 319 room 754 and here is your schedule. You start at 11:30 tomorrow morning." She said handing me an envelope.

I thanked her and headed over to the building. I got my key from the front desk and headed to the 7th floor. The elevator opened and to my surprise, a guy was standing there. He was most likely waiting to go down but he saw the amount of bags I had and offered to help. I gladly took is the offer and he grabbed three of the heaviest things.

"So what room are you in?" He asked moving aside to make room for me.

"I'm in room 754," I stated, filling the space in the hallway by walking next to him.

"I'm Jason, what's your name," he asked looking over to me.

"Ingrid, my name is Ingrid,"I say with a slight smile.

"Where are you from Ingrid?" He asks turning the corner and checking a plaque on the wall to see if we were going the right way.

"I'm from a small town in Minnesota called Verona."

"Wait? You're from Verona, so am I. I'm closer to the city though." He said chuckling a little.

'Wow. How come I've never seen him before." I thought as we reached my door. I put the bags I was holding next to the door and took out my key. I motioned for Jason to enter and he did so putting my bags by the wall and taking in the others I had put down.

"Thank you so much Jason," I said smiling and leaning against the door frame slightly.

"You are very welcome. I'm in room 541 if you need anything and I'm going to the shopping center later on around 4 if you would like, I could give you a tour around the place." He said leaning on the opposite end of the door frame.

"I would love that, thank you so much."

"I'll leave you to get settled in. Meet me by my room at 3:40 pm." He said with a grin.

I agreed and then closed the door slowly.

"Well isn't he a cute thing." A random voice said behind me.

I jumped about ten feet into the air before turning around to where the voice came from. I saw a girl with pastel pink hair that trailed down her back that brought out her green-hazel eyes. She was wearing a crisscross black cropped hoodie with white detailing and green cargo shorts that hugged her figure.

"Sorry I startled you. You must me Ingrid Welsh, I'm Jessie Bryant your roommate." She said with a thick Irish accent.

"It's alright, I didn't realize anyone was in here," I said with a chuckle.

"So how long have you known that tall glass of water huh?" She asked smirking and plopping onto the dark navy couch.

"Who? Jason? I just meet him in the elevator. He offered to carry some of my things back to my room. Found out we lived pretty close to each other."

"And you guys never talked? Or even seen each other?" She asked with clear confusion in her voice.

"He lived in the more urban part of town. A place I don't go to often."

"Ooh makes sense. You should have fun with him." She said winking.

I simply rolled my eyes and brought my bags into the empty room and laid on the bed. 'Jessie isn't wrong about him being cute but I mean nothing is gonna happen, at least I'm pretty sure it's not.' I thought to myself as I took in the view of the room.
