Getting out of the house was simply the best feeling. Your parents couldn't be more annoying. You felt as though your dragon was the only one who listened to you.
You recollected your thoughts as your destination appears over the horizon.
The Wyte Wyrm. It was west of the village on an island of it's own. Your friend Toni often was there, so you were off trying to find her.
You landed your dragon, giving her a kiss before leaving her to herself. You immediately spot Toni talking to some other Serpents.
I was not a serpent. My parents thought of the Serpents as destructive and evil. So I had to keep my friends a secret.
Although the Serpents did gain a bad reputation for all the dragon fights they start, hanging out with them shows their other side. They were like one big family for people who don't have the greatest families.
I walked over to Toni and smile at her, grabbing a drink from the bar. Another thing I have to hide from my parents. I noticed that her friends walked away when I came over.
"Hey T, how's it goin" I smiled, sipping my alcoholic beverage
"Pretty good, just got that errand done for FP" she sighed
"Jeez.. so um.. who are they" I asked, pointing to the two boys she had been talking to
"That's Fangs and Sweet Pea" she smiled "some other Serpent friends of mine"
"Oh ok" I said, glancing at the two boys
The tall one noticed me looking and turned his head to look at me back. He didn't seem to enjoy smiling.
"Hey guys, come here" Toni motioned the boys over "This is y/n, the girl I was talking about earlier" she looked at me
"Hi" I smiled
"Hello, I'm fangs, nice to meet you" Fangs shook my hand
"Hi" Sweet Pea looked at me, he lifted his lips into a small smile
I spent the rest of the day hanging out with the three serpents. Until I heard a familiar whine. I turned towards the door and saw my dragon poking her nose through inside.
"Oh my gods" I huffed, running over to her "hey shh I'm here baby" I rubbed her nose
"Hey guys I should get going" I waved to my friends
"Ya me to" Sweet Pea said, following me out the door
I pulled my dragon back outside and hoped onto her back, adjusting my sadle. I turned around and saw Sweet Pea petting a huge red dragon. No wonder he would have a bad ass dragon, I thought to myself.
"Your dragon is gorgeous" Sweet Pea smiled at me
"Oh umm, thank you, yours as well" I smiled back
"Sure thanks for the fake complement" Sweet Pea laughed
"No really, he's definitely a class 5 and second generation of his breed. Beautiful dragon" I smiled once more, then realizing I sounded super lame compared to his badass vibes.
"Hm, you know your dragons" He told me, getting on his dragon and taking off
My heart was beating so fast. My dragon sighed.
"He's beautiful too, don't you think" I asked my dragon
She hummed in agreement.
