- Ferdinand Foch
Himelia
My mind went wild as he pronounced those words. Why would he ask something like this? But the thing was that I hesitated. Deep down, I heard a voice telling me to accept, but my consciousness was afraid and wanted to refuse. It was absurd, I was a princess, thus I wasn't meant for this world. Now the world had opened its gate for me, however, I wasn't able to move, I wasn't allowed to take that path because of my heritage, my duty. My heart was troubled and my mind in conflict. Move Himelia, Move I ordered myself.
I couldn't, I had a duty to fulfill. I had to find the conch and save my family, my kingdom.
"I refuse." I responded coldly. I couldn't accept. I just couldn't. Because I wasn't free.
"Think of it. Take your time." he said. "For now, you'll be under Marco's division." I blinked for a second before I arched an eyebrow and responded, offended. No way, I won't be with him! I thought.
"Marco, of all those men, you chose the pineapple headed one?" I retorted. "Not to mention, I said that I wouldn't join you. I can't. " But he didn't listen, he was just ignoring me and thinking that he was the one to decide. Even for decisions that concerned me and my life, I had no voice, no free will. I was born a prisoner and, and I would die one.
"Listen, I don't want to join your crew!" I snapped. "I want to find the man that attacked my family, find the conch and my siblings."
I exited the room angrily, as I walked towards my room, I found Marco staring at me persistently.
"What? Do you want a poster?" I said in a sassy way, arching an eyebrow.
"No," he answered, "I just had a question." He walked closer to me, with his hands in his pocket. He had that weird stare, that made me shiver in a bad way.
"What?" I demanded, could he let me be alone?
"What was that?"
"What was what?"
"On the beach. When you touched me I couldn't move. I know that you're a Devil fruit eater. So, tell me, what is your power?"
"As if I'd tell you." I turned my back to him and went to my room. I sprawled myself on the bed and closed my eyes.
Just a few seconds I thought. I just needed a few seconds alone to think on my own. My conflicted soul was a hurricane. And everything was stifled inside. I needed time to think about everything.
But this wasn't right, I couldn't stay in this ship and not move my stupid ass to find them. My kingdom, my family I had to act, to do something, anything. However, my heart was begging me to accept his proposition, deep down I wanted the freedom he was offering me, but I couldn't. I couldn't abandon my family to their dire fate. They needed me, and...I had to find out who those assassin-pirates were. Perhaps that was the reason why I distrusted them. These men were pirates too after all. I was scared of becoming like them, a mere criminal.
