I took a deep breath, looking at Lauren from the passenger seat of her car.  She had already put the car in park but it kept it on, her hands still pressed firmly against the steering wheel.  Her eyes fixed on the parking lot in front of her.  The air was still and silent except for the low hum of the engine.

"Lauren," I murmured putting my hand on her knee.  "We don't have to do this today.  I'll wait for you.  I'm not going to push you to do anything you don't want to, babe."

Lauren sighed and turned the car off, leaning back in her seat.  "No Camz, I love you.  I want to do this."

I rubbed up and down her leg, "Are you sure? I'm fine with waiting.  I'm already out so this is a lot more big of a deal for you than it is for me.  Yes, it's a big-ish deal for me.  I mean, every knows we're best friends so it'll be a little bit of a twist but this is so much of a bigger thing for you, Lo. Who have you come out to again?"

"My parents, Chris and Taylor.  Ally, Normani, and Dinah." She made eye contact with me for the first time since I got in her car this morning when she picked me up for school. "Oh, and you obviously."

I leaned and kissed her quickly on the lips.  "So you're sure, Lolo?"

She nodded, "I love you and I'm sick of the world not knowing."

I got out of the car quickly and moved to her side of the car, opening the door for her.  I held out my hand and she gladly took it, intertwining out fingers.  I sigh of relief escaped my lips.  Her palms were sweaty and she was shaking slightly but I held on to her hand tightly as we made our way towards the school.

We didn't draw much attention.  It wasn't uncommon for girls to hold hands with their best friends.  A few cautious looks but no one really thought anything of it.

We stopped by her locker and I waited for her to get her books.  As Lauren slammed her locker shut, she held her books so they clung to her chest.

I took a step closer to her, stepping on my tip toes to look into her beautiful green eyes.  "Lolo, relax baby.  It's going to be okay, I promise." I leaned in slowly and caught her bottom lip in between mine.  Pulling away, I looked at her again, "I promise I'll stay right by your side for this entire transition.  I know it's hard." She nodded and intweined our fingers with her free hand.

"I love you." she whispered as we walked down the hall to her first hour, where I promised to drop her off before returning to my own.

I made my way to the lunch table and quietly sat down next to Camz.  She kissed my cheek and held my hand under the table, causing a small smile to form on my face.

With a sudden jolt of confidence, I looked at Camila sheepishly, "Camz?" I said quietly.

"Yes baby?" She mummbled, looking at me with a smirk on her face.

I kissed her lips lightly.  She brought her hand up to my face to caress my cheek, pulling her mouth even more into mine.  When I managed to pull away, I kept my face inches from hers.  "I love you."

"I love you too." She giggled, turning back to her food and putting a fork full of fruit in her mouth.

I finally looked up from my lap.  Ally, Normani, and Dinah all stared at us wide-eyed and speechless.  Camila just kept stuffing her face as if they weren't even here.

Ally cleared her throat and shifted awkwardly in her seat.  Normani's jaw dropped and Dinah eyed Camila and I with a knowing smirk on her face.

"So, when did this happen?" Dinah smiled.
