"BloodClan Attack!"

There was not a moments hesitation for the brindle warrior, leaping into the fray to fight beside her clanmates. After sending the tom she was battling with running, she serveyed the battle. Minkfur was grappling with two huge gingers, easily holding them off with BloodClan battling moves. Hopewing and Hazelthorn were fighting back-to-back, while three rogues perplexity tried to breach their defenses.

Briarrose whipped around just as a ginger-and-white tom leaped at Scourge, who was busy fighting Para. Surprised by the attack, the black tom raised his head a fraction, but it was enough for the pointed loner to sink her teeth into his neck.

In fury, Briarrose was upon the ginger-and-white tom, slashing at his flanks. He raised a paw to deliver a counter blow, but Briarrose snuck underneath his belly and lashed out with her back feet. He ran, howling, into the bushes. When she looked back at Scourge, Para had him on his back and had a paw raised above his neck.

"Even though you're dead," said the Siamese, "I'm going to split you open like you did Tigerstar!"

Briarrose didn't hesitate, nor think, she just cannoned into para, knocking her onto her side, and into Thrushfeather, who began slashing Para.

"Go!" Shouted Thrushfeather, jerking her head in Scourges direction. Briarrose blinked great fully, then ran over to her mate. With a quick look around to check everyone was holding out ok, she fastened her teeth into his scruff. As the sounds of battle raged all around them , she dragged him across the bloodstained grass to the bushes in which she knew Cinderpelt, the ThunderClan medicine cat, would be sheltering. As they breached the holly bush, Briarrose felt a slash across her shoulders. She could have dropped Scourge to defend herself , but dud not let go until they were in the safety of the plant. She carefully laid him down on the grass and turned to face her assailant. A badly timed blow scratched her cheek, followed by Cinderpelt's gasp.

"Oh great StarClan!" Exclaimed the grey she-cat. "Briarrose, I thought you were a rogue!" Briarrose was breathing heavily, but she managed to gasp.

"Help him." She wheezed. Cinderpelt immediatly applied some herbs to his neck wound. Briarrose curled around the unconscious tom and begun to lick the blood from his fur. After what seemed like seasons, his flank twitched, then his eyes flew open and he began coughing and spluttering. His eyes searched the den, and he laid his head on her back.

"Give me a few heartbeats," he rasped. "I'll be fine. You need to get out there and fight. Fight for me and fight for BloodClan." She turned and their eyes locked. She gave him a kiss, the got up and emerged from the holly bush, like a Phoenix from the ashes. No one, no one, was going to take over her home land. Para can bloody well forget about that! She bounded onto the great rock, searching for an opponent. She spotted the little pointed kitten-Heather-being circled by ShadowClan Warriors. She jumped off the rock and ran toward them.

"Haha, we'll have fun, won't we..."growled a huge tabby tom. Grinning evilly at the apprentice (kit?). His companion smiled.

"Hey!" Shouted Briarrose. "You two dirt-brains shouldn't have to kill kits to win battles!" She hissed.

"Oh," sneered the tabby. "And why is that?" He smirked.

"Because," said Briarrose, as if reminding a forgetful kit. "Rule 8 of the code clearly states 'no warrior must ignore a kit in danger even if it is from another clan' or are you too stupid to recall?" The tabbies snorted and stalked off to help Blackstar. Briarrose turned to the kit. "What are you doing here?" She asked. The kit looked confused.

"Fighting." Replied the kitten. "Mummy makes us fight. Me and Desert and Twist." The kitten looked at Briarrose with so much adoration. "Please help us." The Brindle warrior smiled. She gestured to the bush Scourge was resting in.
