"I wanted to tell you." Josiah says for the sixth time walking by my side as we continue walking through the tunnel.
"When? You wore god damn eye contacts so I couldn't see! When the hell were you planning on telling me?" I ask
"I know Raven and I'm sorry but I would've died."
"I don't care that you did it or why I care that you didn't tell me. You're my brother I would've accepted you no matter what! You had Valerian turn you into a vampire and kept it from me." I say
"I shouldn't have done that." He says
"No shit Josiah. And now's not the time to apologize. We are being hunted." I say blowing him off completely and continuing to walk. I hear him kick a wall but I ignore him and continue on.

"She hates me."
"No." I say looking over at Raven as she sleeps
"She blew me off-"
"Because you didn't tell her. She'll get over it don't worry." I say
"I know she said she'd accept me still but she can hardly look at me." Josiah says
"Because you've turned into one of the monsters y'all have been fighting against."
"Sitting right here." Valerian says holding up her hand.
"Sorry I didn't mean it that way." I say and she nods
"What if she will never call me her brother ag-"
"Stop there Josiah. Raven has a heart of gold she'll accept you no matter what and you know it." I say and he looks over at his sister.
"She's freaked out about me becoming a vampire what will she do when she finds out that Valerian and I are bound that I've been marked?" He asks
"I don't know but if I were you I'd tell her before she finds out on her own." I say
"Too late." Valerian says and then the shout comes.
"You jackass!" Raven yells
"Well damn that went down well." I mumble and turn to face Raven.
"Raven I'm-"
"Shut up! Don't say it! You are bound to a god damn vampire!" She screams
"Hey! We are not all that-"
"Shut up Valerian." I say with warning and she hushes and looks down.
"Raven! It was the only way for me to survive that arrow." Josiah says trying to calm her down some but it doesn't work.
"You weren't gonna tell me that either now were you!?" She shouts and I step in.
"Ok you need a cool down like now." I say placing my hands on her shoulders she relaxes for a minute but then re tenses and shoves me away. I slam into the wall on the other side and Raven instantly looks down at her hands. She spins away and runs down the hall as I stand up catching my breath.
"I'll go after-"
"No let me." Valerian says and I nod leaning back against the walk as she follows after Raven.

"Raven?" I ask seeing her slid down against the wall with her knees to her chest.
"Go away Valerian." She says
"No I need you to listen to me." I say
"Why?" She spits and I sigh
"Raven you're brother would've died. The only way to save him was to change him and bind myself to him." I say
