AUTHOR'S NOTE: Okay so let me explain a few things. Originally I was planning to make this story book one and write about Michael and Jack, then I was going to write 2 sequels. Once of them would be about Helen, Roger and Cole and the other one would've been about Axel and Jamie. Now here's the thing, I thought of a better idea. Since the story's are only loosely related, I realized that I can write all 3 at the same time, and that way, when I run out of ideas for one plot, I can write for one of the others until I get a new idea. So this is what's happening: This book, by itself will serve as a prequel to all 3 of the other books. You do not have to read all 3 to know what's going on, but before you read any of the other stories, make sure you read this one. This will be the last chapter for WITTMO. My cousin has started school, so while she's there I can write. I will upload the 1st chapters of all 3 stories by next week. I will also make sure to identify which story is which in each of the titles, and I will write in the synopsis of the story and the 1st chapter about how the stories work. I really hope you all enjoyed this books so far and I hope you liked it enough to give the sequels a chance. Have a lovely day!
Chapter 11
“28…29…30…31…!” Angela’s voice erupted from the living room.
If there’s one thing I’ve realized in all my years of living, is that you never really know how badly you have to pee until you decide to find the best hiding spot in a game of Hide n Seek.
Our 2 weeks at Angela’s cottage were slowly coming to an end (mostly because we were running out of clean underwear and, by the grace of God, nobody could figure out how to use the damn laundry machine). After two weeks of debauchery and drinking games, the most voted for form of entertainment that a group of young adults could think of was Hide n Seek.
I, myself, had a very big advantage over the others. I’d been to Angela’s cottage countless times. I knew this house like it was my own home. This ensured that I knew all the best hiding spots and the quickest way to navigate myself to those places.
Despite my vast knowledge of the enormous residence, I had to think hard about where to hide, considering the seeker was Angela. I’d saved my best hiding spot for this specific round. One summer, when I was about 6 years old, out families had come up here for 4th of July weekend. All of the kids were outside playing soccer, but Angela was determined to stand out from the crowd, so she wanted to play badminton. Of course, I was forced to play with her.
Disregarding my protests, Angela sent me up to the attic to find the stupid racquets. Me, being 6 years old and a bit of wuss, almost peed my pants being up there all alone. Despite my fear, I eventually found the racquets behind a wall that could not be seen if you were to stand in the doorway, and that became the day that I found the best hiding spot in the world. Even in the past 10 years, nobody has been able to discover where I hide during any game of Hide n Seek.
My only issue was that I drank an entire bottle of Powerade before we started this game and I’d forgotten to pee. As you can probably tell, I’m not very smart.
“ONE HUNDRED! READY OR NOT, HERE COMES ANGELA, BITCHES!” Came the sound of Angela’s shockingly screechy voice. You could hear her footsteps as she began to rummage the house in search of the ones hiding from her.
20 minutes into the game and Angela hadn’t found me yet. A while ago, I had heard the backyard door open and close, so I assumed Angela was searching for us outside. I wiggled my way out of my hiding spot and prayed that I wouldn’t run into her downstairs. My plan was to make my way into the basement and use the bathroom there. Then, I would hide behind the shower curtain. Hopefully, Angela had already cleared the basement.
