Summer. The best season to ever exist in my opinion. I enjoy the heated air outside, the activities to do, and the best part is that you get out of college for three months. College was the best experience in my life so far. Everyone on campus was so kind to me and my professors are tremendously helpful. But that was only my freshman year.

I was out for summer vacation just two days ago before I met up with my high school best friend, Grace for our trip. She insists we go to LA for the entire summer just the two of us since she has a beach house for us to stay throughout the entire vacation. I haven't seen Grace since last summer after we graduated high school but we always text, facetime, and check each other's status' on social media. Before this trip even happened, she texted me a month before my last day asking me to go with her and obviously I said yes.

The day after we met up and slept over at her apartment, we got up early to get to the airport. It was difficult for me considering I'm not an early bird which is why I take my classes around late morning and early afternoon. Once we arrived there, we got our bags checked and went through security in a perfectly fashion. Following that, we had time to spare before our flight so Grace and I got breakfast at Starbucks since we needed coffee to wake us up. I got an iced coffee with a chocolate chip muffin while Grace got the same thing except she got a blueberry muffin.

"You excited?" Grace asked as we sat down in the waiting area.

"Very," I smiled before taking a sip of my iced coffee.

Minutes flew by, and our flight number was called. We got up from our seats and threw away our trash before entering our plane. I sat in a window seat while Grace sat next to me in the middle. Next to Grace was an elderly man who looks to be in his 70s. I looked over at her facial expression seeing she was so "thrilled" about this flight.

One of the flight attendants stood in the middle isle going over the safety rules on a plane as usual. I paid attention even though according to conspiracy theory videos that airlines want you to die from being in that certain safety position. Once that was taken care of, I turned off my phone before the plane started to depart. That was when my eyes began to dose off meaning this four hour plan ride will be a lengthy one.

...

I woke up just three hours left of our flight. I turned on my phone to look at the time. 6:50 a.m. I rolled my eyes thinking that I will be fully rested on this plane. Regrettably, I believe that coffee was trying to get me to wake up.

I shifted my head over to see Grace sleeping with her neck pillow behind her head and the elderly man sleeping on her shoulder. I giggled quietly before taking a picture of her on my phone. Thankfully, my sound was muted and my flash weren't on which would made it worst and super embarrasing, I placed my earbuds into my ears as the sound of The 1975 was playing.

...

"Anna,"I heard someone said. My eyes opened, and I realized I feel asleep while listening to my music. I looked up to see Grace shaking me.

"We're about to land,"she informs causing me to shot up into my seat.

We had grabbed our belongings that we took on the plane before we got off. We entered into the arena where we pick up our suitcases, and it felt terribly long. I finally found mine which was a plain black suitcase and I quickly grabbed it. Grace grabbed her suitcase which is in a baby blue shade. I could tell she was struggling for a bit considering she packed a lot for three months.

"You okay Grace?" I asked her.

She eventually lifts if off of the bar and gave me a thumbs up knowing she's all good. I laughed as we were walking together to the car rental area. In the intervening time, I suddenly bumped into someone making me drop my suitcase along with my phone that was in my hand.

"I'm so sorry," I apologized crouching down to retrieve my items.

"It's ok" I heard a deep voice responding back to me.

My hand was on top of my phone, and I felt another hand on mine. I looked up to see who's hand it was and my eyes couldn't believe who I ran into.

"Ethan?"

I'm so sorry this was a short first chapter but, this is the sequel to Tutor!! If this is your first time reading the Tutor series, I would suggest that you should start reading the first book, Tutor, so that you won't be too confused with reading this one.

I can't wait to work on this more and to have you guys continue to read more about Anna's and Ethan's relationship.

Much love,

Gabby
