   "Ethan?" I asked.

"Yeah, it's me," he said nodding his head.

"Oh my lord, it's been a while how have you been?" I said while we were both standing up from the ground.

"I've been good. How about you?" he asked.

"I've been good. What are you here for?" I said.

"Grayson and I just came here from a photoshoot in New York."

I gave him a puzzled look. A Photoshoot? I thought he was gonna go to college to study film.

"Our friend, Bryant is a photographer and we took a trip to New York for a photo shoot. We stayed there for a week just to take these," he said pulling out this phone.

He opens his Instagram to show me the pictures he posted from the shoot. My jaw just dropped catching a glimpse of them. They look so professional, and Ethan looked so hot in it even I shouldn't say that about my ex. Ethan and I broke up over FaceTime when we both realized that a long-distance relationship didn't work for the both of us. We were extremely busy with everything that we couldn't visit each other plus we're three thousand miles away.

"Wow, Ethan. They look amazing," I complimented

"Thank you. What are you here for?" he asked.

"Grace invited me to go to LA for the whole summer," I responded.

    "Oh cool," he quickly responds.

We stood there in awkward silence until I see both Grace and unexpectantly Grayson appear next to us.

"Hey, you ready to go?" they both said.

They both stood there looking stunned to see us together.

"Hey guys," Grayson said smiling at Grace and me.

   "Hey Gray," I said.

I walked up to him to give him a hug, and Grace did the same thing. She then went over to Ethan to hug him. I watched as her arms were around his neck and Ethan was buried into her shoulder while his arms went around her waist. I kinda felt jealousy toward me especially seeing my best friend hugging my ex-boyfriend.

"Are you ok?" I heard someone whispered into my ear.

I shifted my head to see Grayson facing me with a concerned look. I nodded at him reassuring I'm ok. On the inside, I wasn't ok. I didn't want to witness this happen to me. Thankfully, they pulled away from each other and Grace faced me.

"Shall we get going?" she asks me.

"We should. It's good seeing you both," I said to Ethan and Grayson.

   "You too," they said.

Grace and I waved goodbye to the twins and started to head towards to car rental area. I was stopped by Grace tugging on my wrist. I rotated my body around to face her.

"Are you ok with seeing Ethan after you two broke up?" she assures me.

"Grace, I'm fine. Let's just focus on having fun this summer," I informed her.

I was telling the truth. I don't want this whole summer to think about Ethan. I want to have fun with my best friend without any drama.

...

We arrived at the beach house as we walked up to the door. Grace pulled out the key from her pocket and opens the door to the house. Once we walked inside, I couldn't resist it but stare at how nice it looks for a beach house. I ran upstairs with bags in my hand to find a bedroom. I dropped my stuff and collapsed onto the bed.

   "Finally," I sighed.

I heard giggling from inches away and I looked up to see Grace standing in the bedroom doorway.

   "What" I chuckled.

"Are you really jetlagged?" she asks.

"Yes, now fuck off. I need a nap," I mumbled into a pillow.

"Alright," she said throwing her hands up in surrender.

Once she left the room, I lay back down on the bed and shut my eyes drifting off to sleep.

...

An hour later, I woke up from my nap. My eyes opened up and I stretched my arms out. I grabbed my phone that has been charging on the bedside table to check my notifications. I opened up a text message from Grayson that was sent to me fifteen minutes ago.

Grayson: Hey just making sure you got there safely

I responded back to the text letting him know that I'm safe and sound.

Me: Sorry was taking a nap when you texted but I'm at the beach house safely now.

Just after forty seconds of texting back, he replied.

Grayson: It's ok. Are you doing anything tomorrow?

Me: Not that I know of no

Grayson: Well, is it alright if I show you around LA?

I took a glance at the message again. Is he asking me out? I shook my head at the thought of him asking me out. Even though Grayson had a crush on me when I was dating Ethan, I doubt he would ask me out. But then again it would be nice to catch up with Gray again after not seeing him for a year. I sent him a basic text message back to him.

  Me: Sure

Grayson: Awesome! I'll pick you up at 11 a.m.

   Me: Sounds good

I locked my phone and stared up at the ceiling. I thought to myself that it's going to be hella weird seeing my ex's brother tomorrow. The problem is what would Ethan say about it. Does he even know? Did Grayson tell him? Is he gonna get jealous?

All of these thoughts are a mixture of positives and negatives. The positive is I'm gonna be hanging out with him after not seeing or speaking to him in over a year. The negative is I'm afraid of what Ethan will say about this. Gosh, It's like making a pros and cons list. I'm just praying that nothing will go wrong tomorrow.
