falling for my new neighbor's son

I answered the phone
The conversation
Me: hello mom!
Mom: I was just calling to check on you. Have you seen the new neighbor's yet?
Me :I'm fine mom and yes I have seen them this morning after I came back home from my run
Mom: OK darling I'll be home in an hour OK .
Me: OK mom
Mom: yes darling I hope your not bored at home
Me: no I'm actually hanging with ree.
Mom: (laughs) OK have fun
Me: yh I will bye
Mom: bye darling
And with that she hang up .
Me and ree decide to just hang out and watch the 'original'

*** an hour later
Knock knock ,'someone at the door' ree said.' I'm going to get it' I said, ree said ' did u think I was going to get it ' I just rolled my eyes and walked downstairs to open the door it was mom . I hugged her and told her how much I missed her .. She told me she missed me too she had a lot of groceries in her hand so gave her hand in carrying them to the kitchen... She told me she bought burgers for me and ree since she had already eaten hers me and ree sat at the table and ate our burgers it was only 6:30 so while we were eating we left mom to unpack ....She then told us to go over to the new neighbor's house and tell them to come over for dinner tomorrow because mom would be home all day tomorrow ,she doesn't work on Sundays. My eyes widened at the words she just said while ree was just there smiling  I so wanted to slap that grin off her face but I stayed calm and just said OK ..
After we ate me and ree walked over to the neighbor's house.
