The plane finally lands, and we are the first ones to leave. Once we get to the gate, I pull out my phone to text my best friend, Kelly. We usually talk about drama, makeup, boys, etc, but today, I want to gossip about Matt and Cameron fighting over me.

I find my bags at the baggage claim and call for a taxi. I know where the hotel is, so I can go in a car by myself.

I hop in and tell the man the address. As the man prepares to leave, I see a fight outside. Two boys punching each other, and a few other people stopping them.

Those boys are Matt and Cam.

"STOP!" I yell, and I get my bags and exit the car. I run over to the scene, stepping in the middle of them to make them cease.

I feel a slap on my cheek, more like a punch, and I fall to the ground.
