"M..move in?" I stutter. I don't even have a place of my own yet.
"Well, my parents thought that since I'm ways on tour, that I should get a place, like here in LA or something."
I think for a minute. How am I going to pay for a place? I have my gigs that I get paid for, but that's only $250 a shoot, so I would have to book gigs every week if I wanted to make a living. I can always eat ramen everyday, right?
"That costs a lot of money, even just for a loft." I tell Matt.
"Well, I make money, and you do too. With the both of us and help from my parents, we could get an apartment or something."
I'm not sure what to say. That's really a big step. Our relationship could end right when we get a place. I look into Matt's eyes for a second, thinking. Then I get up and call Nash to come pick me up, leaving Matt so we can have some space for a few minutes.
I dial Nash's phone number and she answers, "Hello?"
"Can you come pick me up? I'm downtown in front of the convention center."
"I'll be down in a few minutes. See ya then."
