Davis decided to take Kari to the park for to have a private conversation. Once they gotten under a big tree for shade, Davis crossed his arms over his chest and glared at Kari.

"What exactly did you told my girlfriend?"

Kari rolled her eyes placing her hands on her hips.

"Oh please you and i both know she's not your girlfriend"

"What?"

"You are just using her for your own game"

"What game?"

"The fact that you are using her to get me jealous just like how I did with you"

Davis frown with confusion.

"Where did you get an idea like that? I'm not like you, unfortunately if its hard for you to believe that but I am actually in a relationship with Penelope"

"No you're not"

"Yes I am. Why are you being so stubborn about this?"

"Because I know you still love me"

"As a friend. Don't you get it. A. Friend"

"You are just in denial"

Davis took a deep breathe, he honestly couldn't believe he is having this conversation with her that is so easy to understand.

"Kari, I need you to listen to really listen. Whatever you think that I still have feelings for you is gone. You wasted your time. What do you think I was going to do wait forever for you until you make up your mind? And what about the times you been sending me selfies of you and TK together trying to get me jealous? I waited Kari for so long for you to return my feelings but you kept pushing me aside as if it was a game."

"TK and I are not in a relationship"

She said quickly. Davis was surprise by that comment but was also curious.

"What happen? I mean the both of you always seem close, I thought you two will be together"

"He rejected me and he has a girlfriend"

Davis sadly looked to the ground.

"Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. I know how rejection can hurt"

He said as he looked up to Kari.

"But be that as it may, I really need you not to talk to Penelope anymore"

"What did she told you?"

She asked wondering if Penelope told a lie. Davis frown at her.

"Everything. We don't keep secrets from each other. Kari what do you think you were doing? You were putting things into her head that I needed to sort out with her"

"Davis the only reason you are with her is to make me jealous and you've succeeded, but now I want you to stop before you break her heart"

"What's the prize? Me? Because honestly I know for a fact you don't want to be with me. Do you? Because one thing that I do know is that I am not like you"

Kari shook her head.

"Of course not"

"Then what are you doing to me? Why are you trying to ruin a relationship that I am happy with, I'll probably never find another girl like Penelope. Now I am just going to tell you once stay away from my girlfriend and stop having Gatomon to snoop around my apartment"

He said about to walk away but Kari stubbornly grabbed hold of his hand and stopped him.

"Fine. I'm gonna ask you one very important question that has been bothering me since day one"

Davis pulled his hand away from her and turn back around to face her.

"What is it?"

"What kind of girl like Penelope would be doing with a guy like you?"

Kari asked seriously.

"Hey! What do you mean a guy like me? What's wrong with me? And for starters she just loves me for me, she said so herself she wouldn't want to change a thing about me because that's what makes me unique. She encourages me even if I'm playing video games or playing soccer. She supports me"

"You sure you're not paying her because she tells everyone that"

"Because its the truth. Why can't you accept that someone actually loves me? And as a friend I was hoping you would really be the first person to be happy for me because that would let you know that I have moved on from you but now you are becoming a person that I don't know anymore"

"What are you talking about?"

"Kari you are suppose to be my friend. You are suppose to protect me and help support me"

"I am. I'm trying to protect Penelope from you before you hurt her feelings"

"I would never hurt her. Kari please I am only telling you this as a friend, stay away from Penelope"

He said turning back around starting to leave.

"No promises"

She said lowly as she watches Davis leaves out of the park. Kari took her time heading back home since the day was over. When she finally arrived she ate her left over dinner and went to relax on her bed. Tai decided to check in with Kari as he made his way inside her room and sat on the chair.

"So what happened between you and Davis?"

He asked getting straight to the point. Kari looked up at her brother with a smile.

"Nothing it was just a misunderstanding"

"Uh huh and does this misunderstanding has something to do with Davis's relationship with Penelope?"

Kari open her eyes wide.

"What? You already know?"

"Of course I know. Not everything remains a secret because the truth always comes out. This snooping around trying to get information about Penelope is not like you. I mean why are you so interested in Davis's relationship because from what I know you have been rejecting him since the longest, are you jealous of him?"

Kari frown and crossed her arms over her chest.

"I'm not jealous, now go to bed"

Tai stood up with a chuckle as he made his way towards the door without first looking back at Kari who was still pouting.

"Kari"

He said and Kari looked up at him.

"Sometimes its hard to realize that we take things for granted but there are also times that we already know what we have but we didn't realize that we would actually lose it. Even though you say you don't like Davis, that's fine but at least keep the friendship strong"

He said as he walked out the door.
