"Come on let's sit under the shade and talk"

Kevin said with a smile as they sat on the bench. Davis let out a sigh as he looked to the ground.

"Davis I'm not going to try to force you to get back with my sister that's entirely up to you. I just want you both to be happy, that's all I really care about"

Davis let out a sigh as Kevin continued to talk.

"Penelope's been telling me what's been going on and I just want to know how are you handling it?"

"Honestly not good at all. A few friends are helping me with the heart ache but there is only so little they could do. Penelope is my cure"

He said lowly as he began to tell his part about what happened.

"And so now I'm here"

"Wow so this Kari girl is the problem"

Davis sadly nodded.

"Penelope tried to warn me but I wouldn't listen. If only I kept my relationship secret then none of this would have happened. Will she ever forgive me?"

He asked.

"Its hard to say but if you guys really love each other then somehow you both will make it work"

"I don't see another way its a down hill relationship"

"Sometimes, what's left behind can grow better than the generation before...if given the chance"

He said with a smile as he looked to Davis who still had his head down. Kevin smiled.

"You know there's a quote that I would like you to hear. Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” ― Lao Tzu. Penelope mention before that you have the crest of courage, tell me Davis do you have courage?"

Davis slowly lift up his head.

"I don't know anymore, I thought I did but I guess it left me"

"It never left. Look there is no secret ingredient, you just have to believe. Listen if Penelope does forgive you after all of this, then this will show she has courage too because anyone can hold a grudge but it takes great courage to forgive"

"So what you're saying is that I might still have a chance?"

Kevin grinned at Davis who lift up his head with hope.

"I'm not saying anything but its just a little bird told me that for the last few days Penelope has been wishing on a star for to be back in your arms"

Davis smiled at Kevin.

"Does this bird just so happen to be a digimon?"

He asked. Kevin chuckled.

"Maybe. So are you feeling more better now and a bit more confident?"

Davis thought about it and smiled as he stood up determine.

"Yeah. Yes I am but everytime when I'm in front of her my walls come down"

He said sheepishly. Kevin laugh as he stood up.

"And that's okay, but remember she is just as much nervous as you"

He said as they headed back to the direction where Penelope and Demiveemon were at. They found them on the swing, Penelope was on the swing swaying herself gently with Demiveemon in her arms asleep like a baby. Kevin and Davis made their way to them. Davis looked at Penelope nervously but he knew he had to have courage otherwise why would he have the crest of courage in the first place.

"Penelope can I talk to you alone?"

He asked proud of himself that he didn't stutter. Penelope looked at him nervously.

"Yeah, I need to talk to you too"

She said gently as she stood up and handed the sleeping digimon to her brother who raised an eye brow.

"You can babysit now or you can walk your ownself home right?"

She asked with a smirk.

"Fine then I'll be heading home and take care you two lovebirds"

He said carrying the sleeping digimon in his arms leaving behind two blushing teens at the park. Penelope and Davis sat on the swings gently swaying themselves.

"I..."

They both said together at the same time causing them to giggle lowly. Davis cleared up his throat.

"You were going to say something first?"

He asked.

"Um you go first?"

"Ladies first"

"But you said you needed to talk to me first"

Davis was about to say another come back but he knew Penelope was right...again. He cleared up his throat one more time.

"Um do you want to go to a diner with me? I haven't really eaten nothing for the last couple of days"

"Sure. Same here"

"But if you want we can bring it back to the park so we could eat and play in the swings. I-if you want"

He said with a blush. Penelope gently smiled at him.

"Whatever makes you comfortable"

Together, Davis and Penelope headed to a nearby burger stand to order two hamburger specials. After getting their food to go, they headed back to the park to a picnic table and began to eat quietly in silence but a slight comfortable silence. After eating their food, they went back to the swings and lightly began to push themselves on the swings. The sun was setting and there was less people at the park which gave them more privacy.

"Penelope I just want to say I'm sorry"

Davis said looking at the sand underneath his feet. Penelope had her eyes on him with sadness as she waited for him to continue.

"I should have known better. I never thought to think about your feelings of certain situations. I was so caught up in trying to make everything right that I failed to notice at the same time I was pushing you away. I could never forgive myself for hurting someone like you, because you are the most very important person in my life and I want you to stay in my life because I need you......"

"Davis.."

She said cutting him off lightly but Davis stood up surprising her at the action as he got in front of her on both his knees as he grabbed hold of the chain of the swing from preventing her to swing away.
