Satellite

As the stars radiate from above
The moon seems to luminate among them
The heavenly sky seems to darken just so they can take their spotlight
Sometimes their showtime is interrupted by fluffy clouds passing by
Luckily, they aren't there long so the show can go on
Now, once again, the moon and stars are in their spotlight

On the dark yet beautiful night
Looking up above at the dazzling sky causes my eyes to sparkle
Twinkling just like the stars and glowing like the moon
As a star shoots across the sky, I make a wish to the heavens
A wish to be safe and happy-
A wish to be needed and loved by another

As I glance away from the perfect sky
The one I see staring at me seems to gave glistening eyes full of awe
As if the find me beautiful as the tonight's sky

My wish had been granted from the heavens
I knew this as I was being pulled into a tight embrace that feels to last an eternity
I feel the comfort of being watched over-
The comfort of being safe-
Of feeling needed and having someone there for me
This faith fulfilled by another who wraps me in their arms
They hold me tight as if, if they let go they would lose me for good

My breath softens and this fortune grants me happiness
Closing my eyes to the lovely scent coming from them
I wish to never be let go
For them to be here for me always-
For them to be with me always
I wish that one more thing of the heavens, as if they were the night standing before me

Unlike the beauty of the moon who stays with our world,
The stars do no comfort our moon
The moon comforts our world as it's darkest times
The one who revolves around making sure the world's not forsaken in it's abyss
It is this world's satellite

Like the world with the moon,
This person is -and forever will be- my satellite.
