Date Night

Chapter 3

*Mia's POV*

"Mia." Will said.

"Yeah?" I questioned.

"Tell me about yourself." he smiled. I twisted my pasta around my fork. This restaurant was way too expensive for me.

"What about myself?" I asked.

"Everything." he grinned. I took a deep breath before replying.

"Well, I'm 16. I work at Starbucks, and..." I didn't finish, I couldn't tell him about Bella.

"And....what? You can tell me." Will frowned.

"I have a 2 year old daughter." I admited with a frown. I looked down at my plate in humiliation.

"Oh." he paused, "What's her name?" My eyes lit up, the smile returned to my face. Whenever I tell people about Bella, they always think I'm a dirty girl who doesn't know how to take care of herself. But Will is different.

"Bella." I said softly.

"Do you have a picture?" he asked. I nodded my head. I pulled out a picture of Bella from my small and dainty white purse and showed it to him. It was a picture from last month when my mom took Bella and I to the zoo. Bella was feeding the giraffes. She was just so cute. I'm glad my mother has done so much for us. "She's adorable." Will smiled.

"Thank you Will." I said sweetly. I looked over at the clock on the wall. "Crap, it's nearly 10, I should be going now."

"Do you want me to drive you home?" Will asked.

"Um, sure, that would be great." I quickly paid for my food and Will and I made our way to his car. 

"Mia." Will said, he slowly grabbed my wrist and pulled me closer to him. I didn't speak. Our foreheads slightly touched and our lips were just inches away. Before I could react, Will's lips pressed against mine. I quickly pulled away.

"Will, I can't." I huffed.

"Why not?" he whispered.

"I have a boyfriend." I admitted to him.

"Oh, I'm truly sorry Mia. I didn't-"

"It's fine, I know you didn't mean to." I smiled. We both paused for a moment. "Um, you know what? I think I'll just get Jennalise to pick me up."

"Okay." Will frowned. I hugged him goodbye and walked over to the payphone at the corner of a small building. I inserted a quarter into the dispenser and started to dial Jennalise's number. I held the phone to my ear and looked up. I saw Jack with his arm around a woman.

"Hello?" a voice came from the other end of the phone. I jumped from my trance and held the phone closer to my ear.

"Um, hey Jennalise, it's Mia." I kept my eye on Jack and the mysterious woman.

"Is something wrong?" she asked. That's the moment when it killed me. I saw Jack press his lips against the other woman's lips.

"Jennalise, can you come pick me up?" I asked with tears in my eyes.

"Sure, you still at the restaurant?"

"Yeah." I answered.

"Be there in 10."

"Thanks." I shoved the phone back in it's slot. I leaned myself against the building and burst into tears.

"Hi Bella." I said happily.

"Hi mommy!" Bella smiled cheerfully and ran up to hug me.

"What are you doing up so late? You should be in bed." I picked her up while resting her on my side, I glanced over at my mother.

'Sorry.' my mom mouthed. I nodded my head in reassurence. 

"Let's go get ready for bed." I smiled and set Bella down. I led her into her room. I helped Bella get into the bed. I tucked her in gently and kissed her goodnight. 

"G'night mommy." Bella giggled.

"Goodnight Bella." I kissed her forehead once again and tuned off the light before exiting the room. I walked back into the kitchen. "Thanks mom." I sat down at the table.

"Anytime sweetheart." my mom smiled.

"Mom, I saw Jack today. And he was with another woman." I said quickly.

"Well that doesn't mean anything, does it?" she questioned me.

"He kissed her." I frowned. Once I had finished my sentance, Jack walked in.

(A/N) hey y'all! I know its REALLY short, I'm sorry! I just wannted to finish the chapter!! :/ I wish this had more readers (i'm so greedy) lol, hope you liked it! I'm probably gunna make a lot of short chapters just so I can have a lot of chapters :) im so dorky.
