Chapter 5: War Never Changes

Thomas Pov

Wake up on the floor because of a startling alarm.

I remembered that type of alarm is from the reference book page 1003.67 section T.

This is an poison gas alert alarm.

As I quickly sat up, I looked to my side. Red Leader is still asleep.

I ran and slipped clothing on and grabbed the Gas Masks. One for me and one for Red Leader.

I rush to Red Leader's side of the bed.

"Red Leader! Get up immediately! I think an enemy has gassed the headquarters!" I say while shaking him to awake.

Red Leader finally wakes up with his eyes--eye widening. He sat straight up and looked at me very pissed.

I shove the gas mask onto him.

"No time to explain Red Leader." I say hoping that he complies.

He nods and stands from his bed. Then shortly walking to his dresser, grabbing and then slipping on his clothing.

"Thomas grab a couple pistols and a rifle. Along with a machete." Red Leader says as he fixes his coat.

"Yes sir" I say as I salute and walk off to Red Leader's closet. I unlock an secret door and pull out the requested items.

As I walk back to Red Leader's bed, I see a shine of a bullet.

"RED LEADER GET DOWN!!" I sprint to Red Leader. As I push him down, the bullet hit through the window and hitted a wall.

We quickly stood up and left the room armed. Hand and hand.

Red Leader ran down the halls with me being almost dragged by how fast he was running. He's a fast runner.

Once we arrived at combat grounds with the enemy. Which was outside the building.

The soldiers were waiting outside already. They were all fully armed but so was the enemy.

"Red Leader what are the soldiers waiting for!?!" I whisper yell.

"For my command of course." Red Leader says proudly.

"Well? Aren't you gonna do something?! Sir!"

"Yes I am but I must wait a little longer.."

I give him the 'WTF' face. And not the 'well thats fantastic'

"Are you doubting my command , soldier?" He says sharply while giving off a scary, dark vibe.

"N-no sir!"

"That's what I thought Thomas, because I don't think you'd want punishment now do you?" He says grinning from ear to ear.

That smile was creepy as fuck bro. I would've crapped my pants if it wasn't in a sexual way.

"Eh!..n-no s-sir." I say keeping my distance and avoiding eye contact.

"Well--"

"SIR GET DOWN NOW"

We get down to the ground.

"FIRE! SHOT THEM ALL DOWN SOLDIERS!" Red Leader yells off the top of his lungs.

"SIR YES SIR!" The 300,000 soldiers yell as they attacked intruders.

The battle ended a couple hours ago but the war wasn't over.

Red Leader right now is at the mainbase in Norway. He said he'd be back in a couple months.

And now I'm sitting here with lots of unfinished work.

I'm currently working in Red Leader's headquarters.

I worked on the shipments, weapons, weapon ideas, soldier mental illness issues of how to fix that, etc.

While I worked on my assignments, I noticed that my pen ran out of ink.

So I searched around Red Leader's desk for another pen or ink I could burrow.

Decided to check the desk drawer. It was oddly locked.

I stood up from the cozy desk chair, and walked around the headquarters for a key.

I searched the desktop, desk, bookcase, Red Leader's bedroom bookcase (A/N I think we all know what's in there😂😂) , and I checked Red Leader's personal desk.

Wow, where the hell is that key at!?!

I went on to Red Leader's bed and searched under his pillows. Similar to movies, I found the key!

I went back to Red Leader's main desk. I sat back into the cozy desk chair again and swiftly put the key into the drawer.

I unlocked the drawer and found.......bomb shelter blueprints?

These blueprints were recently made too.

I searched more and found nuclear weapons and bombs blueprints. They were recent also.

"What bloody hell?!"

I went into Red Leader's computer and searched into his private emails.
