Chapter 2

[The next morning]
"No, this is not possible, I will not let that stupid oath ruin her life" Jacob was screaming on top of his voice.
I went downstairs to check what the hell was actually going on in this house! I saw Jacob was standing on the kitchen with my Mom (Lily) and Dad (Louise). My Mom was trying to calm Jacob down, but he was not calming down even a little. So, I knew what can help, so, I ran straight towards Jacob and hugged him, he instantly took a deep breath and calmed down, I knew this can do the magic. After they all calmed down, I asked them "Hey, what is wrong, and Jacob why were you yelling?" There was a deafening silence.
No one answered my answer, I knew they were hiding something, I asked again this time a bit louder "WHAT IS WRONG, AND WHAT WERE YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT, WHAT ARE YOU EXACTLY HIDING FROM ME?" As soon as I finished Jacob stormed off to his room and slammed the door hard behind him. Jacob is not like this, He doesn't do this type of things until he is very pissed about something. I knew I am not getting any answers from my parents so, I went to Jacob's room to talk to him.
[knock knock]
"Come in" he said, in a very distress way.
I entered his room and saw him standing in front if his window, staring at our garden. I went and stood beside him and then kept my hands on his shoulder and said "Come on big bro, let it out, don't let whatever it is to eat you from inside. Tell me what is going on, let me help you get through this. He let go of a big sigh and said "Skye I am so so sorry, Mom and Dad made me swear on you, to not tell you anything."
I was too shocked to even say something, so, instead I yelled at him saying "DO WHATEVER YOU GUYS FEEL LIKE, I AM OUT OF HERE." And I stormed back to my room.
I sat on my bed, and I knew all them were hiding something very big, and won't tell me anything. I knew it had something to do with the oath, because Jacob mentioned it today when he was yelling, and I also once overheard my parents talking about it, but at that time I didn't understand anything because I was very small, but now I have to find out. I know about my Father's ancestors, that they were very rich and were respected by everyone in the society. It's okay if they won't tell me I can join the dots and can surely find out what is wrong!
I know I cannot do this alone so I called my Bestie Isabelle in short we all call her Belle, And told her to come over at my place, and said it was a big emergency.
After a few minutes, the doorbell rang, and it was my Bestie Belle. She was huffing and said "so what is the big emergency? You know I even broke a few lights to come here asap, because you said it was an emergency" That is my BESTFRIEND, I know I can always count on her. So, I took her to my room and filled her with all the details, from Jacob yelling in the morning till my parents talking about the oath. She listened to me carefully without interrupting, and then said "woah" I sorta expected that from her. Because it's not an every day thing that your brother is acting all mad and then your parents are hiding something big from you, and asks your brother to not tell her sister as in me anything and keeping her in the dark basically.
I needed to refresh my mind, so I took Belle and we went to our regular Café, and we had a few cups of coffee. And just when we were about to talk about the oath. My phone rang, and I knew who it was before even checking it. And Yeah I was right it was Jacob. I knew why he was calling because he probably saw, I was not in my room and I never leave my house without informing anyone. So, he must be worried and he should be. After all he deserved it. I cut his call and switched off my phone, I took Belle's phone from her, and switched it off too. I knew it will be a matter of second before Jacob comes here searching for us. So I took Belle and we went to the Noah's place, and I know Jacob will never come to Noah's place, because Jacob despise Noah more than anything because Noah likes me.
[I rang Noah's doorbell]
"Coming," he said
Before Noah opened the door Belle asked me "Are you sure, you want to be here?"
I said "If this is the only way to avoid Jacob, then YES,"
Noah opened the door and was shocked, and it was natural for him to be shocked because I rarely ever visit him. I broke the silence and said "Hey Noah, can we like come in?"
Noah snapped from his thoughts and said
"Oh sorry, yeah sure come on in?"
We sat in his living room and Noah said
"It is not like I hate your company or something, I simply love it, but how come you are visiting me today?"
I said "umm well we were passing by your house, so I thought of saying Hi to you, if you are busy then it's completely fine, we can leave!"
Noah stood from his chair and said "No, I am completely free, please stay."
Then we talked for a long time and Belle had to leave because she had an emergency at her house, I also wanted to go with her, but Noah insisted me to stay, so I stayed.
After Belle left, it was only me and Noah, we talked for a long time, watched movie and what not. By the time I was done, it was pretty late and it was almost dark, and Belle had the car. Walking home dreaded me, even though my house was not very far from Noah's. But, it was not safe. But I thought I'll be fine.
I thanked Noah for today and said Bye. And he said Bye and then said "You you brought your car right?"
I said "no, actually Belle was driving and she brought her car so I didn't"
He said "then you were planning to walk home, don't you know how dangerous the streets of Melbourne are at night time?"
I said "Yeah it's fine I can walk home, don't worry"
He raised and brow and said '' THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL POSSIBLE, THAT I WILL LET YOU WALK THIS LATE AT NIGHT!, I am driving you home and there is no arguing in this"
I agreed and said "okay"
The car ride to my home was silent. We didn't talk much because the ride was short.
I finally reached my home and I thanked Noah for this great day and gave him a kiss on the cheek as a Thank You, I could see, that he was blushing. And said Goodbye and got out of the car.
As I got out of the car I saw Jacob standing in front of the house and running towards us, he must have seen me with Noah and not to mention that I kissed him and he saw that. I said Noah "I'll call you later." And he saw Jacob coming and went.
I ignored Jacob completely and went straight to the house and then to my room and sat on my bed.
After a few minutes i heard a
"Knock knock."
