Can of worms

Alls good

It all starts with a normal not so normal family
That's how it always is right? I keep saying that but it's true
Anyway the family of three live in a decent home next to a small woods that includes a small pond in a small open city like area. The father is an architect, very good at his job but is under appreciated. The mother works for a large wildlife educational video, article, and photography company (basically natgeo but not that) she works the the photography division and is gone for months at a time due to her job, but gets long periods of time to be at home. Both jobs pay well but situations could be better and probably be less stressful.
The father has a lot of competition and they, along with his boss, make his day miserable. His boss expects a lot from him and his coworkers give him a hard time and added stress.... that is.... well not good. He gets by for his family even at the expense of his deteriorating and not so good health. But no one needs to know. He will tell you he's fine but hey he's gotta try to at least save some pride.
The mothers boss has her do more jobs then necessary but she's good at what she does. She has a tendency to overwork herself a lot and does not have any self care among other issues that will come to light later on.
Last is an only child, he's just getting by in school but barely and life just sucks like for an every ordinary teenager in high school. (Who would've thought) he has a few friends with there own issues, but that doesn't matter at this moment. And it's hard to tell if he even likes them, it almost seems like he wants to be a lonely kid. Again right now means nothing
What does matter is that his mom is leaving again and won't be back for 3 weeks. He's lucky it's only that, usually she's gone a lot longer but Because the holidays are coming up they let her have off.
She's apparently going to some forest in California, not that he cares that much, he just wants to stay in his room and be moody all day. He's a teenager for crying out loud.
He has a decent relationship with his family but everyone has something they wish to forget and hopes that everyone else is none the wiser. They all love each other but sometimes it's hard just to get through the day and sometimes those you love pry a little to deep for comfort.
