i see so many fanfictions that have poor grammar

i know that english might not be their first language but at least take some time to get a grammar lesson.

here, i'll provide one for y'all.

Run-on sentences.
Run-on sentences are sentences which go on for too long.
(e.g. I love my dog and my cat and my parents.)
Never have two ands in a sentence. Commas are good to use to fix these sentences.

Fragment sentences.
Fragment sentences are sentences that only have the subject (the main thing) or the predicate (tells something about the subject).
(e.g. My lover is.)
Always include both a subject and predicate in a sentence.

How to make a complete sentence.
To make a complete sentence, you need a subject and predicate. Take a look at this sentence.

"Sam has a dog."

Sam is the subject and predicate is that he has a dog.

Past, present and future tenses.
The 3 tenses tells the reader WHEN it takes place.

Past tense:
"My dog ran."
"He walked home."
"She won the contest."

Present tense:
"My dog runs."
"He walks home."
"She wins the contest."

Future tense:
"My dog will run."
"He will walk home."
"She will win the contest."

Plurals
Most plural (more than one) noun end with an "s", but that's not always the case.
If a word normally ends with an "s", you must put an "i" at the end.

"Cactus", for example, will be "cacti".

If you're referring to someone's name, you must put an apostrophe at the end.

As an example, "Lucas's book was open", is not a proper sentence. You have to write it like, "Lucas' book was open".

I'm going to continue this grammar lesson later so prepare for the storm, student.
