Leap of Faith [ Little Giant X Reader ]

He was a famous volleyball player.
Every single person in Japan has heard about Him.The one that soared through the sky with a single jump.
The one that was barely 170cm tall
Yet He could blow His opponents away.
Of course, there were times where He stressed if He would make the Jump,

But He always decided to take that Leap of Faith.

I'm a regular student at Karasuno High, and I'm a second year. As a second year, you could pretty much party without having to stress for Finals, and you could stroll around the halls without feeling awkward or out of place since you had been through the same walkway millions of times. This was normal.

I wasn't the type to have many friends. Yes, I did have a few here and there, but I'm more of a loner- being by myself brings me energy. The friends I do have are pretty much there just so that I would have a partner during group projects. However, there was this one particular male that I found somewhat... interesting.

Now, no. I wasn't interested like I liked him or as a friend, he annoyed me. I dislike this guy.

This very boy was in my class 2-4, the college prep class. He was a smart dude, unlike most 2nd years who partied all night and didn't care about exams. He was the type to act non-chalant about everything around him but deep down, it was much more important than it actually should be.

And that was why I disliked Chiisana Kyojin.

Chiisana Kyojin was special. He was an introvert with pretty much no friends, other than a few senpais. His seniors that bothered to talk to him were actually on his volleyball team. " The Littel Giant " never revealed his true name in matches of volleyball, not even in the leaflets.

It always only said ' Chiisana Kyojin '.

Not once has he revealed his true name. Even in school, he was known by teachers as Chiisana Kyojin, the Little Giant.

Why did you hide your name?

Chiisana Kyojin had a terrible personality. He was short-tempered, he was hard to get along with. He would be so frustrated when he messed anything up, even in the slightest bit of fault he would blame himself for it. The only time when he would go out if character from this was when he was in a volleyball match. He had to put on a fake demeanour. He had to make himself look good, as Karasuno's ace.

I hated that- Why would you fake yourself for others' enjoyment?

It was your life, not theirs.

Everyday, I'd would walk into the Kyojin's class, lugging my books that contained the words of philosophers who had done more thinking than the universe could expand, then sit as far as I could from him. Why would you stay close to your hatred?

During pair work, the teacher would usually put a male and a female together. And surprise, surprise. Guess who got paired with Chiisana Kyojin himself? That's right, it was me. I didn't bother hiding the fact that I was shuffling my feet on the dreadful journey to his desk, hoping some invisible force would reel me back. I heard a grunt and caught a look of annoyance in the boy's eye.

Oh boy, I'm going to detest this project.
