The day ended on a surprisingly good note. I finally met my long lost childhood friend Akise, met a cute first year called Risa, and finally figured out the difference between serving and spiking.
Their practice ended much later than it should have due to my sudden appearance, so by the time they left the school grounds, although they didn't seem to mind.
" It's late. Hurry home. If some guy shows up again I don't have the strength to punch him. " Chiisana grunted as he slowed his pace, walking by my side begrudgingly.
" Ohoho, wait. You're walking me home? You- " I was about to add a last sentence, but I decided to ignore it just to have a little fun with the boy.
I purposely slowed down to let him trail ahead of me, letting him lead the way to my house. I hadn't moved since the year I was born. Somehow, he got to my house in record time, without realising I was behind him, not front the whole time.
" Hey.. how did you know where I lived, you stalker? " Strange. I'd never walked home with him before.
He turned and shrugged his shoulder, tilting his head at the same time in a somewhat childlike manner. " Coincidence. It's not my fault that I live across the street where I can see my neighbours. " Raising my eyebrow, I looked behind and realised that the house behind me was beautifully painted a queer chocolate brown, matched with a navy blue roof. Aesthetic indeed, I thought. I never saw him around since he was always staying late at school practicing his sport.
After giving him a small wave as goodbye ( he didn't even respond ), I entered my own home. Looking out the window from my room on the 2nd floor, I spotted Chiisana entering his house mouthing incoherent words. My eyed scanned the walls of his apartment. Aha! There; the sign... my excitement wiped itself out. Really... he even covered his name on the wall... is that even allowed?
