4. Date

Alana's P.O.V.

A couple days have gone by and Cameron and I have gotten to know each other more. We haven't gone on a date, we just talk during, after, and before work hours. Sydney is 100% supportive of the "thing" Cam and I have going on. He's a very nice guy who really knows how to treat a lady. I think meeting Cam really helped me get back into the dating world. I'm honestly kind of hoping he asks me out on a date soon.

Today marks 1 week of Cam working here. To me it's not really a big deal but apparently it's a "big deal" to our boss. We were all preparing for opening when Sydney hits me on my shoulder.

"Ow, what was that for?" I yelled quietly so I wouldn't draw attention.

"Girl guess what!!" Sydney said.

"What haha," I asked smiling. I've never seen her so happy.

"Well lets just say your not gonna be single for long," She said winking at me.

"What are you talking about? Is this about Cameron?"

"Yes! He always asks me about you so yesterday he told me that he's going to ask you on a date tonight!!" She squealed.

"Yay! It's about time!," I laughed,"Wait.. Then why did you say I'm not gonna be single for long if its just a date?"

"Ohh come on. When you guys go on that date, you guys will so hit it off and keep going out till he eventually makes it official." I nodded my head.

"Yeah.. I guess so. I mean he does know how to treat a lady so lets see if he can plan good dates.. Thanks for letting me know! I definitely owe you one!"

"Just say yes to the date and you'll owe me nothing," She laughed.

"Ok thanks and don't worry I will."

"Ok good now get back to work Cinderella," Sydney said. We both laughed. We continued preparing the restaurant until Cameron came in. Oh man, He always looks so good. I need to congratulate his mother. Yes, yes I do. He caught me looking at him and smiled. I smiled back then turned away an thought, 'your an idiot' over and over again. All of sudden a hand touched the middle of my back, causing me to jump a little bit.

"Oh my gosh, please don't do that you scared the-" I cut myself off when I saw Cameron standing in front of me,"Oh hey haha, good morning!"

"Haha good morning to you as well and sorry I didn't mean to startle you. I wanted to know ask if you needed help with anything at the moment?" Aw, he is so sweet. I looked around to see if there was anything he could do.

"No not right now but thanks for the offer," I smiled.

"No problem. I'm always here to help you if you need it," He smiled back. We smiled at each other just being mesmerized by one another like in the movies.

"Hey lovers," Someone clapped right in between us,"Are you guys gonna get to work or have a staring contest?" It was Sydney. We all laughed a little.

"Nah I was just kidding you guys can keep going but head ups, we are about to open soo." She walked away getting back to her job.

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to distract you from your work," He said.

"Oh it's no problem at all," I smiled.

"Ok well I'll let you get back to your thing."

"Ok," We both smiled again and he went to go to whatever he needed to as I got back to wiping the tables.

"Um actually," He said coming back,"I was wondering if you were doing anything after work tomorrow?" I thought for a second.

"Sadly no."

"Well in that case.. I have known you for almost 2 weeks, I've gotten to know you a lot, and I think your very pretty and very sweet so I was wondering if you'd like to go on a date with me tomorrow night after work here on the santa monica pier?" He smiled. Wow. That was worded so well. At first I thought he was going to ask me to be his girlfriend and I became worried because we just met.

"First off, thank you. It means a lot and second, I would love too," Like always, we both smiled at each other.

"Ok great! Can't wait!" His smile was bigger than ever. Aww. He's making me blush.

"Well we should probably get back to work now but thank you."

"Yes! Your right. Don't want to get fired now," We both laughed and went back to work. I noticed Sydney was staring and ease dropping the whole time. I looked at her and gave her a thumbs signaling that he asked and I said yes. I was honestly really happy with a guy for the first time in almost a year.
