The next morning, fifty princesses dashed about the fifth floor as if it was their wedding day. On the first day of class, they all wanted to make their best impressions on teachers, boys and anyone else who might lead them to Ever After.
Sophie awoke from her sleep to a commotion inside Room 51. Kiko was rushing around with curlers in her hair, searching frantically for her 'pink kunzite ring from her thirteen birthday' while Beatrix could be heard singing loudly while in the bathroom, brushing her teeth between inserts from a music group which she had a poster of displayed on her cork board.
Rolling over onto her stomach, Sophie mumbled incoherently into her puffy pillow before sitting up and stumbling into her own ensuite, turning on the cold faucet and splashing cold water on her face.
Her straight blonde hair was slightly dishevelled from sleep and her under eyes were a tad dark. Sophie grabbed her brush and ran it through her hair, tidying it up causing its usual sheen to return. She then used the cream that Kiko had gifted to her for healing dark under eyes. Applying the glittery mint green cream to her eyes, Sophie was confronted by Beatrix.
"Good morning." Beatrix said, sauntering into Sophie's ensuite.
"Morning, Beatrix."
The girl stood in the archway, looking down at her pale purple slippers.
"Look, about yesterday at the Welcoming and you and Tedros."
Sophie gulped and set down her brush on the marble counter. "Is there anything to discuss?"
"I saw Tedros holding your hand."
"Perhaps..."
Sophie met Beatrix's eyes and a rivalry was born. "Just be careful who you crush on Sophie." Beatrix states before turning on her heel, leaving Sophie staring at the doorway.
Washing away the eye-cream, Sophie regained her composure, rushing to put on her uniform and sitting down at her vanity. Groom Rooms wouldn't be open till at least tomorrow which meant Sophie was going to have to borrow off Kiko for makeup supplies. Beatrix didn't seem to be in the mood to be 'best friends' currently.
"Kiko, may I please borrow your makeup bag?" Sophie yelled to Kiko who was still rushing about, packing a pale blue duffel bag with school binders and hairspray.
"Sure thing, the pink one would be just the right one for you." Kiko says.
Sophie grasped the pink bag, embellished with gemstones that spelt out a glittery 'K'.
She unzipped the bag and set to work.
Meanwhile, in Evil, Agatha had awoken to being drenched with cold water and being thrown her uniform. Hester grinned down at her and Anadil could be seen petting her rats while Dot glanced over at Agatha still hurt from her comment from the Welcoming.
Already sick of looking at the terrible three, Agatha rolled her eyes before pulling on her uniform and following the witches out of the door and down the hallway.
Agatha had already learnt most of the ways to various places in the school, so wasn't surprised when Dot led the way to the Supper Hall for breakfast.
When they arrived, Agatha separated from the group and received her bucket of questionable breakfast from a brown wolf with sad, fearful eyes.
She headed to the very back of the hall, behind a scorched wall and ate her meal. Her first class was Uglification. She would pass this class easily. One look at her greasy black hair and brown bug-eyes and the teacher would probably drop.
Swallowing down a particularly large piece of porridge, Agatha frowned at the steel rim of the bucket and watched, out of sight, as Evil students filed into the Hall, lining up for their own bucket of slop.
Agatha smiled at the crowd wickedly. 'It's a miserably good day'
