Charlotte sat up in a four-poster bed, staring at a maid placing miniature dolls and furniture inside a large doll’s house.
“Who are you?” she asked.
“I’m Stana, your Nanny,” the maid replied.
“Nanny?!” Charlotte shouted standing up in the bed “I’m Twelve years-old!”
“Oi! Show her some respect,” Lukas ordered walking into the room wearing his militsiya uniform. Lukas walked over to the bed and lifted Charlotte down.
“I’m going to grab some breakfast before I head, would like any?”
“What does ‘head’ mean?”
“Go out”
“Oh, I see. No thanks! I think I just hang around this room for awhile okay”
“Suit your self,”
“Kay~” Charlotte skipped off to the maid as Lukas left the room.
Charlotte knelled down beside Stana and took out one of the figures. It was of a pale skinned woman, with light blue eyes and long golden blonde in Ukrainian braid wearing a long patterned yellow and red dress and with a small golden crown.
“Hey! She’s looks like Sofya!”
“It’s her mother,”
“Oh,”
The figure was platform and written on the bottom was something written in Russian characters, “What does this mean?” asked Charlotte handing the figure over to Stana.
“Grand Duchess Larissa,” replied Stana.
“Are they all the royal family?” asked Charlotte.
“Yes, well the royal family in 1925.”
“Oh, is the kid Vladimir?” Charlotte said pointing to a figure of a boy sitting beside two large dogs
“Yes”
“So the other two girls are Marya and Sofya. So, who’s the other boy?”
“Dmitri, he’s a cousin”
“Oh, is the doll house modelled off the palace or castle?”
Stana nodded.
“Where did you get it?”
“Master Tamm found it in attic; I must have belonged to Marya or Anasta-”
Stana was interrupted by a load gun fire coming from down stairs
“Get your hands off my sister!!!” a boy’s voice shouted.
Charlotte ran down the stairs to one of the main halls.
The person who fired the gun was a tall, skinny, teenaged boy. He had light blonde hair reaching down to his shoulders, he was wearing brown trousers, a brown waist-coat and pink bow-tie and brown shoes with the laces tried in a bow, over-all very well dressed, Charlotte thought he must come from a good background, was rich, his parents were rich or all above. The gun he fired was a revolver.
“Karol what do you think you are doing?!” Lukas shouted grabbing the male’s arms.
Karol blushed slightly and replied “I w-was just trying to help Maja”
“Well, Maja’s fine, now. And don’t you think firing a gun was a bit much?” Lukas asked
Karol blushed more “Y-yes.”
