You- hello?
Other person- hello? Is this Ms. Y/n Y/L/N
You- yea...?? Umm who is this?
*pause phone call*
Your boyfriend Hayes comes up behind you and wraps his arms around you. "Hey bab-" you cut him off by turning around to face him and putting a finger to your lips. "Shhhh!!" You say. He whispers sorry and observes you talking on the phone.
*continuing the phone call*
You- "I'm sorry who are you again?
Doctor- I'm Dr.Crawford. I am your grandmother's doctor. Are you the care taker of her?
You- yes. How is she? Is she ok?
Doctor- remember when she passed out this morning and you noticed her stomach seemed bloated?
You- yea..?
Doctor- her bloated stomach was caused by an organ in her stomach. It had exploded. By the time the ambulense had gotten her to the hospital, it was too late. I'm sorry for your lose. You may come see her if you would like.
*end of phone call*
You hung up your phone. You stood there in shock as tears begin dripping down from your eyes.
"Y/n what's wrong? Is your grandma ok?" Hayes asked as he held both of your hands. You covered your mouth with one hand and shook your head no.
Hayes gave you an apologetic look. Hayes didn't even ask if you were ok. He scooped you into a hug. You sobbed into his chest.
"I'm so sorry baby." He said while rubbing the back of your head with his hand. "I know you were really close to her. But she's in a better place." He says rocking you back and forth.
"I wanna go see her." You say as you break the hug. Hayes nods, "I'll ask Nash to give us a ride." Hayes called Nash and explained everything.
Nash pulled up to the front of the school to pick you both up. As you were walking to the car, Nash got out and walked to you with open arms. You walked into his arms and he engulfed you in a big hug.
"I promise, everything will be ok. I'm so sorry it had to be like this." Nash says trying to comfort you. You cried as he and Hayes led you to the car. You got in and Nash put your bag and Hayes bag in the passenger seat.
Hayes opened the door for you to get in the car. You got in and Hayes leaned over and buckled your seatbelt for you. "I love you" he says as he kisses your forehead and then closes the car door.
He gets in on the other side of the car next to you as Nash starts the car and takes off towards the hospital.
Hayes holds your hand the whole way there. Nash drops you 2 off out front of the hospital. "I'll see you guys later. And y/n? Remember what I promised you." Nash says before driving home.
You run into the hospital while dragging Hayes behind you. You ask the nurse where they were keeping your grandma and they direct you to the room.
As you walk into the room, all you see is your grandmothers lifeless body laying on the hospital bed with her hand folded on her stomach.
Hayes slides his hand into yours as you both slowly walk up to her bed side. You look at her emotionless facial. You set your hand over her hands and continue to cry.
*a couple hours later*
"Mam? Sir? I'm sorry but you have to leave now." The nurse asks. "Ok thank you." Hayes answers for the both of you. At this point you both were sitting In chairs. Hayes is standing by your chair and looks down at you.
"You ready?" He asks. You can tell her was crying a little bit too. You nod as you rise up from your chair. You put your hand over your grandmothers hands once more and whisper, "I love you to Infinity." You say as you glance one more time at her and then turn around and walk out of the room.
