"Hey mom."

"Well look who finally decided to come home."

Jasmine had to go back home along with Khymie. As much as they didn't want to, they knew their parents were probably going nuts.

"Mom...stop treating me like I'm 10." She sighs grabbing an apple to snack on.

"Well I'm sorry for being a concerned mother when her daughter decides to not show up home for almost a week!" Jasmine's mom exclaims

"I came back in one piece. I don't see the big deal." she shrugs

"The big deal is you thinking your grown and that you can leave whenever you choose to." He mom says angered

"I'm almost 18! Why am I still being treated like a child?!" Jasmine yells

"Because you're not 18. You're still 17, therefore you are still a child." Her mom nags

Jasmine rolls her eyes.

"Let me guess...you met some guy and you wanna run away together.." her mom says nonchalantly

"He's not like other guys mom."

"Oh you mean like your ex who cheated on you?"

"Yes mom. He's different."

"Well I already don't like him. Look what he's done to you! You're talking back to your own mother."

"I don't have to hear this." Jasmine mumbles

She runs upstairs and packs a bag throwing random pieces of clothing into it. Once she decides she has enough she walks downstairs towards the front door.

"Where do you think you're going?!" her mother exclaims

"To a place where someone actually cares about how I feel." She yells back

"You do that. But listen to me, if he breaks your heart...don't come running back to me."

"Trust me...you'll be the last person I will come to." she snaps and grabs her things along with her keys and shutting the door.

Jasmine sits in her car and breaks down crying. She's never gotten into an argument with her mom like that. She was basically alone now. So she did the only thing she could do. She wiped her tears away and drove to the Lake house. A place that was peaceful and was away from her family.

Once she got there she sat in her car. She stared at the packet of cigarettes she had on her passenger seat. Ever since Nash told her about cigarettes, she went out and got herself a pack. But she never had guts to smoke one, until now.

She lit the cigarette and inhaled it. She coughed before she could exhale and the smoke came out in puffs. But after her first drag, she got used to it. The cigarette put her at ease. By the time she was smoking her second one, she had reached her numbness stage. She was too busy smoking to notice Nash come out of the lake house.

He saw her car and walked towards her. He saw she was crying silent tears, all the while she was pulling on a cigarette. Jasmine didn't notice she was crying until Nash's thumb wiped away a fresh tear that escaped her left eye.

"Come on." Nash says getting her out of the car and bringing her in the house.

She doesn't speak because she can't. Too many emotions were going through her head at the moment to even process her surroundings.

"What happened?" she heard Nash ask as she sat at the edge of the bed.

She doesn't speak for a moment until the tears start again.

"I'm such a screw up." she sniffles

"I got into an argument with my mother and now its like I'm kicked out of the house." she states

Nash goes to comfort her but she flinches away. Everything that happened not to long ago with her mother left her vulnerable. It wasn't Nash's fault...but at the moment she wanted to be left alone.

"Jasmine..." he starts

"Please...just let me be alone." she croaks

He nods and leaves her in the room by herself. Praying that this wouldn't cause him to lose the girl he was possibly falling in love with.
