Ring Ring Ring

"Ah!"
My phone's ringing wakes me up from my sleep. I quickly pick it up. "Hello?"
"Theo! Where are you? We've been waiting forever."
    "Wait... Who is this?"
"It's Jessica..." She responds annoyed, "We where going to play turf war today. Ugh! We planned this yesterday. I should have known you would be sleeping in." Suddenly I remember what she's talking about. "Shoot! I overslept. I swore my alarm was on..."
"The match starts in 20 minutes. I don't want to be in a 3 v. 4 like when you slept in 3 weeks ago."
"Okay okay I get it. I'll be there."
      "You better." She hangs up.
I get up and go to the bathroom. Turing on the shower I get undressed and start to wash my self. As the water ripples on my tentacles my thought begin to drift.

I had decided to move to Inkopolis to get away from my small country town I grew up in. I also wanted to do something more than be a farmer. My dad seemed to agree when he helped me get money by working on the farm and at a local convince store. When I saved up enough money I bought a one way ticket to Inkopolis Square, and rented out an apartment. I still remember the look on my mom's face when I said goodbye. She was in tears. My dad kept his cool but on the inside I knew he was sad.

When I had first arrived the big city everything was so unfamiliar. From the gigantic looming skyscrapers to the lingo the fresh kids used, I was lost. Until I meet Jessica and her friends. She introduced me to everything in inkopolis, like turf war, Judd, the shops, and even the trick to getting free snacks form the vending machines. It felt like in Inkopolis I could do anything except wake up on time.

"Dang it. I've been in the shower too long." I interject in realization of my mistake. I quickly scrub down my tentacles making sure I get out the dirt from my cups. I get out of the shower and stylize my hair making a simple ponytail. It's the best I can do in such little time. I then put on some fresh clothes with good stats and then I take out my weapon...
A Carbon Roller Deco.
"Come here baby." I say as I pick her up.

I walk outside. I know it's around a 10 minute walk to the Square. I check my phone.

Three minutes until match starts

Shoot! I gotta run! I start to sprint. "Excuse me. Coming through." I announce as a run through the crowd. It's like that old arcade game...

Let's see how far away am I now. I check my phone to see I'm a minute away.
"Look out!" An onlooker of the crowd warns me, but it's too late. I look up to see a girl right in my way. I tried my best to slow down but in the process tripped. I fell over taking the girl down with me. "I am so sorry ma'am. I have to go." I say as I get up. I make a mental reminder to not look at my phone when I am running. I turn back to get a glimpse of the person I just hit, so I can apologize later, but her face is turned away. I start to sprint again.

I hope I'm not late.
