Kei just got back to her new room after sending her parents off. She just moved to her new apartment. Her parents stayed for hours and they had just left.
Her new apartment unit was pretty comfortable and complete, with single bedroom alongside bathroom, and kitchen. There were 4 units on each level, separated by lift in the middle. Her unit was the last unit on the level, close to the laundry facility. Next to hers, there was another unit located between her unit and the lift. She was planning to greet the owner, but then withdrawn from her intention. She didn't want to be annoyance. Besides, her parents had tried to greet her neighbor, but there was no responses when they knocked the door. Kei thought they would meet eventually, and could just greet each other then. On the other side of the lift, there was still no occupant.
Her stuffs already arranged well. Kei know what she'd be doing next. It's time to watch K-dramas, the reason for her moving out idea. She was so excited, even when starting up her laptop she couldn't stop humming to whatever song she remembered.
Upon waiting for the player to loads, she suddenly heard someone screamed from next door. She thought her neighbor was outside? Who was that?
"WAEEEE??!" Another scream. Kei was startled. Just what kind of neighbor she had? From the voice she heard, she was sure that it was a guy. Maybe a university student. But he sure had high pitched voice. Kei was filled up with anxiety. What if her neighbor was a psycho? How could she live peacefully?
"DIEEEE!!!" Just before she tried to convince she would be okay, she heard another scream, and this one made her even more scarier. Who the hell he shouted to go die at? She never thought living alone would be this scary. She regretted that she neglected her father's advice of how scary the outside world could be, just because of the urge to watch drama freely. And look at her, she was neglecting the drama because of the threat she got from her possibly psycho neighbor. Oh nice, what a weekend. Kei turned her laptop off and cover up herself under her blanket. Hiding.
Even after she covered up her entire body, still she could hear her neighbor's screams. Be it a 'no', 'why', 'wae', or even some swear words. But she was sure she heard he shouted 'why' ten times more then the other screamed words. This Y guy was really awful. Didn't he even know that he had new neighbor moving right next to his apartment? Or was he really a psycho who doesn't care about other people?
Thanks to him, Kei could not enjoy a single drama after she moved. She slept earlier than she planned to, and of course, woke up earlier too. This time, she did not hear any strange voices from next door. He should be sleeping by now, she thought. Could not catch sleep anymore, Kei decided to do what she left last night. She started her laptop. While waiting for it to completely usable, she went to the kitchen side and sip a cup of water, her habit after waking up. She grabbed some snacks, made her preparation complete. She was ready for a Sunday drama. Romantic comedy has always been the best choice.
Going with the flow, for the first episodes, she laughed countless times. She was already on the calm state in the middle of the story-line when she heard another screams. "He's starting again", she said to herself. Once again, she was bothered. But this time, she only felt annoyed, not anxious anymore. Before she started watching she found her sense again, and remember that her neighbor shouted some familiar words. She should thank her classmates later for talking about their favorite video games and moreover their most and least favorite characters. Her neighbor did screamed some of those names.
Inside the apartment room beside hers, someone was indeed playing a game. That famous video game. He was up until late yesterday, as he spent his usual sat-night. But when he still needed more sleep, he was woken up by the sound of someone laughing like she was the sole owner of the building.
The owner of apartment unit next to Keis was none other than Choi Sungyoon, her classmate whom she just found out recently that he was the scariest classmate, or even schoolmate, ever.
Sungyoon who couldn't sleep anymore decided to take his breakfast. A breakfast on Sunday morning after awhile. Enjoying his meal, he was thinking about what he should do next. He already finished his homework yesterday before he played. Nothing to do, he sat in front of his desktop computer, and yeah... Once again playing his favorite game.
His game was interrupted by a message popped up.
'Hyung, you're online?' It said.
'Eoh... Let's play a round.' He quickly replied and opened up another game.
'You don't usually play on Sunday morning..." Another message from the same sender. Yeah, I won't be here if only someone did not disturb my sleep with her creepy laughing. He replied to himself.
'I'm following Kim Jibeom's path just for today' was the reply he sent.
'You wont regret following me, hyung!'That message ended the chat and he drove his focus on his pc again. This time he played versus mode with the one who sent him message. Without fail, he shouted in fairly high note when he was trying to beat Jibeom's character. It went higher when Jibeom's character actually beat his.
"I'll get you back, just wait Kim Jibeom." Sungyoon sounded so determined that he played more seriously, and of course screamed unswerving. The screams that reached Kei's hearing.
When he was enjoying his game, he did not hear his new neighbor's creepy laugh anymore. When he finally took revenge for his multiple defeat, he started to hear those creepy voice again. It was none other than his new neighbor's voice. She was squealing, and often shouted 'no' or 'fool'. From what she shouted out, he knew she must had been watching some amusing drama since morning.
"JUST KISS ALREADY YOU TWO!!!" Sungyoon turned his head to the wall that separated their room. He then shook his head in disdain. A drama maniac, he concluded. Sungyoon stopped his gaming when dusk approaching. It was time for preparing dinner.
Kei on the other side still pleasing herself with the same drama she watched since morning. She was entering the emotional session, where things just didn't work well for the lead characters. She couldn't restrain from sobbing. Sungyoon could clearly hear her crying out loud when he was getting out from his bathroom. Until when did she plan to watch?
Kei was too absorbed to the drama. Well... expect no more. It was near the climax. It was out of her awareness that the sun had set. The sound of bell ringing next door caught her attention. Someone who rang the bell shouted 'food delivery'. That reminded her to had her dinner.
