First Progress

Kei's group was hopeless. No one seemed a click for the group's leader. For some moments they fell silent. Every member were busy with their own activity. When she heard the other groups already start their topic discussion, Oh Seunghee stopped writing on her note and asked who will be their leader.

No one answered so she asked again, "No one wants to be the leader?"

Another silence. All four of them only exchanging gazes, wishing the other would understand their please-be-our-leader gaze. Yoo Changhyun bowed a moment and then looked up again to say a frightened proposal, especially for Kei.

"Let's just write Kei as the leader. Since her name is the first on the list?..." To his proposal, the other three simultaneously looked at him. "Don't worry, we'll do help you. It's only a title anyway..." He continued. A second after, Seunghee nodded but not looking at Kei. Kei panicked and rushed to refuse, but she couldn't say any words.

"Let me do it!" It was Sungyoon. Seunghee, Changhyun, and Kei were stunned at those words. They looked at each other in confusion. Who would have thought this Sungyoon offered himself to be a leader?! He barely spoke any sentence.

"Why? I can't be leader?" The other three shook their heads in unison.

"H... here you go. Of course you can! Thank you, really!" Changhyun handed over their worksheet. Sungyoon scanned through the paper, while Kei exhaled in relief.

The group fell silence once again as their leader is looking thoroughly at their worksheet. The members were actually worry about the situation but no one could speak up as they didn't want to be leader themselves.

"So what are we going to do first?" Sungyoon started their discussion after he wrote the word leader next to his name.

"Planning. We should write it as the first step." Sungyoon did as Seunghee said. Apparently she already thought about this earlier. She revealed what she was writing before, a draft of to do list about their project.

"Woah..." Kei and Changhyun both amazed after they realized what was that. Sungyoon was amazed too but he kept his cool and didn't gave such a reaction. Seunghee really did a good job, she made their tasks easier.

They started to talk about everything on Seunghee's note. They all agreed to find explanation about their topic first. Which means they are going to be stuck in library for sometimes, searching for any book which explained about criminals. Lucky if they found a book that explained about prison as well, because it would be easier for on-field interview later. If only Park ssaem allowed them to cite from the mighty source called internet... that would definitely be so much more easier.

As they just planned, they went straight to their school library after the last class. Some of their classmate did the same. Sungyoon, Changhyun and Kei couldn't do anything but felt really really grateful to have Seunghee on their group because the girl was so quick at everything. She managed to find the right book before the other groups did.

Being as normal as usual groups, Changhyun became the member who lack in participation. Sungyoon, Jiyeon and Seunghee were busy taking notes from different books in front of Changhyun who are doing nothing but staring at them. They only had three books to work on, that's how he excused himself. He was taken aback when Sungyoon talk to him.

 "Hey Changhyun... aren't you feel boring?"

"Eh? Y-yeah... well..."

"I think the other group already done with that book, can you please ask about it?" Somehow, Sungyoon sounded so leader-ish, not to mention as scary as Kei could remember. Even though he only asked Changhyun to do something.

Changhyun was hesitating at first, but he did as Sungyoon asked.Changhyun looked at Yooa's group who were getting ready to go home. He went to asked them. Seunghee did find another book, but Yooa's group really had nothing on them so they borrowed one from them, and Changhyun gladly gave them the book he was supposed to work on.

Changhyun succeed on asking about the book, but he failed miserably for taking notes. He only wrote two-three words when Seunghee claimed she was done. Kei was almost there, so did Sungyoon. Seunghee snapped at Changhyun's work. He literally did nothing for the last 15 minutes or more.

"You know I'm not good at taking notes. Please bear with me... I promise I'd finished this at home!" Changhyun pledged.

"As if you would!!" Seunghee sighed and took the book. She bet, this Changhyun didn't even bring his student card to take the book home. And she knew, that pledge of him was definitely nothing more than just words. Changhyun gave her questioning look.

"I'll do this. You better pay me for another thing." Said Seunghee which made Changhyun's eyes sparkled in joy.

"Oh yes! Thank you so much, you save me. Let me take you home today as my gratitude. Ah, everyday. I vow to take you anywhere as long as we're in this team!" Seunghee frowned.

"Even though we will last until the end of this semester?" Seunghee smirked because of the wavering look on Changhyun's face.

"Well... no problem. As long as I can... and also we'll see how much you'd take my part..." Seunghee gave him a light slap to his arm with a book on her hand as her respond to his joke. Yeah, Changhyun was a jokester, and everyone knew that. He was popular for that, along with never-trust-him title. Seunghee already got used to this side of Changhyun as they sometimes talking without any particular point, just bickering over nothing. But not with the other two. Sungyoon and Kei did not understand anything. Was she seriously offer herself to do Changhyun's task? Was he really okay to be Seunghee's driver for the rest of this semester? Both of them didn't say anything and ignored their confusion.

As they wrapped their first progress, the four of them walked together towards the school gate. Kei and Sungyoon followed behind Seunghee and Changhyun. They were still talking, even Kei found it hard to cut them off to bid goodbye. Thank goodness Seunghee turned to asked about her.

"Hey Kei, where do you live?" Kei was suddenly fall into confusion. What was her new address again? The only thing she knew, it was about 7 minutes walk from their school.

"Do you perhaps need a ride?" Changhyun asked.

"No no no no..." She answered quickly. "It's close by, I can just walk... See you later!" Kei grabbed the chance well, she bid them goodbye.

"I'm okay." Sungyoon said first before Seunghee and Changhyun asked him. He also excused himself from the pair.
