As Kazekage, Gaara had a of duties to fulfill. Paperwork, debates, meetings, approvals and so on. His brother Kankuro helped a little but his sister Temari was the bossy one and always made sure he was working hard.
But as of late he had began to bloom and wonder what love was as Temari was dating a Shinobi of the Hidden Leaf, Shikamaru Nara.
"Temari?" He asked as she was in the middle of another one of her anger fueled rant
"WHAT?" Temari snapped and turned her head towards her brother's direction "What the heck are guys problem?!" she stomped towards her brother's desk and slammed her palm on the table "Why can't guys just say what they feel!!! I just can't stand Shikamaru sometimes!!! That lazy dog!!!" she exclaimed loudly and flopped down on the chair, folding her arm on top of the table and hid her face in them groaning "Great, now I snapped at my brother, damn you Shikamaru" she shook her head and took few calming breaths and looked at him "Please forgive me for that Garra, I was just worried" she sighed and sat up on her chair "What is it? Do you need any help in something?"
Gaara was used to these outbursts but their brother Kankuro was cowering behind Gaara's desk. But Gaara wasn't even phased by it as little to nothing brothered him.
"She gets really scary..." Kankuro murmured
"What is love?" Gaara asked his sister as he was always a little too straight forward
"Huh?!" Temari at first didn't understand that what her brother asked and then she couldn't believe her ears what Garra asked? She nearly fell from her seat, but she managed to stay in her seat,her eyes were focused on his brother's stoic face trying to understand what exactly happened to make him ask it....
She might be able to guess but then again she doesn't want to upset her brother for he was the Kazekage.
"Well, it varies from person to person, but general symptoms are you will think about that person when you get up in the morning and that person would never leave your mind even if you close your eyes at night, you will feel your heartbeat racing at the sight of the person, you would want to be with that person or keep that person to your side no matter what, protect that person with your own two arms, you will feel angry when someone else flirting with that person, all of your stress will leave you when you hold that person in your arms, just the thought of that person would warm your heart, it will make you feel like you matter, you would want all of that person's attention on you...and few more like that" she slowly explained it as if she was explaining math to a child "....Why do you wish to know?" she asked curiously
Gaara took in all this information in. It was all new to him. He had never known love. His uncle was ordered to kill him and act like he hated him. His father forced Shukaku into him. And was perhaps the worst person. But he was still his father who died.
But out of all the people Matsuri stood out as she didn't see him as a Jinchuriki.
"I... don't know... it's... something I'm curious about." He said thinking
"Really?" Temari asked his brother more intrigued now "You never asked something like this" she rested both of her elbow on the table and crossing her arms she leaned on it "Garra? Is there something I need to know"
The redhead himself pondered this. "I'm not sure, I'm only curious. As see you and Shikamaru... and those books Kankuro lent me, that the Sanin Jiraya wrote really don't make sense." Gaara said as Temari was fuming now but at Kankuro
"Kankuro. Run." She said and he didn't need to be told twice "Make a friend first. Try to be there for her and show her you care and would do anything for her. It's a feeling you'll get when you she's the one." She added and was now prompting going to kill Kankuro as the profanity that was flying from her mouth would really make the elders question her ranking
