Strong (Star Wars x Reader)

Y/N's POV
I couldn't help but feel nervous as we landed on Jakku. The First Order could come at any moment to stop us. Suddenly, the memory of my parents deaths flashed before my eyes. I could feel the tears coming and I blinked rapidly to stop them from spilling onto my cheeks. I take a shaky breath and walked forward, following BB-8 and Poe.

The people around us stared as we tried to find the man who had the map that led to Luke Skywalker. I didn't know anything about the man, but Poe did. It seemed that he knew where the man lived. Once we got to a hut, we both entered the old man's home. I stayed close to the door and made sure to listen as Poe talked with the man. His name was Lor San Tekka. He was an ally of the Resistance and he helped Luke Skywalker recover secrets that the Empire had tried to erase. I had no idea if any of this was true but all I could do was hope that it was and pray that nothing would happen. Both Poe and the man, Lor San Tekka, were speaking quietly and I saw that he gave Poe something. Maybe the map is on the drive, I thought to myself. Just then, BB-8 came rolling in, beeping urgently to Poe. 

"We've got company," Poe says and I nod in agreement. 

We run outside and Poe uses his binoculars to see what was coming. I used my own and saw that at least a dozen ships were coming to the small village. I took them away from my face and without looking at the man, I tell him to hide. 

"You have to leave," he says and both Poe and I turn to him. "Go." 

He looks at both me and BB-8 and with one head motion tells us to head to the ship. I glance at the man and I could see the fear in his eyes as I ran to the ship. The ships landed and I saw many Storm troopers exit the air crafts and rounding up the people in the village. As I ran, I saw the one and only Kylo Ren step off a ship. He wore a mask, like Darth Vader and he wore long black clothes. He looked menacing with his mask and I couldn't help the chill that went down my back. I pumped my legs faster to get to the ship. Soon, someone shoots at the ship and it explodes. I felt my heart drop. What are we going to do? I thought. How are we going to get the map back to General Organa? 

Poe then turns to BB-8 and kneels down and gives him the map. "Go. The First Order can't get the map." 

He turns to me and takes out his blaster. We head back to Lor San Tekka and see Kylo Ren strike him down. Poe shoots his blaster and Kylo Ren stops it and Poe from moving. I duck down so he wouldn't see me. Two stormtroopers come and grab Poe, bringing him to Kylo Ren. They forced him to kneel down and I see that Kylo Ren kneels down to face him. It was quiet before Poe says something. "So you gonna talk first? I talk first?" I groan inwardly. Really Poe? 

"The old man gave it to you." Kylo Ren says, looking at Poe intently. "Search him." 

Kylo Ren then stands up.  

"It's just hard to understand you with all the," he says as the stormtroopers jerk him up. "apparatus." 

The troopers search him and find nothing. "Nothing sir." 

"Put him on board." 

No, I thought. I have to do something.... I can't just let them take him. 

I stand and sprint towards Kylo Ren. I pull out my own blaster and shoot at him. He sees me and tries to freeze me by using the force. I put up my own hands and fight him back. He seems surprised. I scream in determination, starting to shake. 

"Y/n! Stop! Just get out of here!" I hear Poe shout. 

"No!" I shout back. "I won't let you go without a fight! I can't lose you too!" 

I step forward. Kylo Ren seems to have trouble and I try to hold on for as long as I could. I feel my strength ebbing away. I knew he could sense it. My muscles started to shake and I could feel sweat dripping down my face. Then, with one sweep of his hand, he pushes me away. I land ten feet away, breathing heavily. Kylo Ren comes towards me and stops right next to me. He studies me for a few seconds. 

"Supreme Leader will be interested in you..." he says. 

Not registering what he said, I feel my consciousness fade away. "Kill the villagers." 

"No..." I whisper. I feel someone pick me up and bring me to the ship. Before I lose consciousness, I see a stormtrooper not firing on the villagers. He had a bloody hand print on his helmet and he seemed  to be breathing heavily. 

He doesn't want to kill them... I thought before I blacked out.
