Alexia was now sitting beside Isaac in the bus.

Her eyes were only on the blonde boy by her side. She wanted to apologize to him for all the wrong things she did to him - like kissing Scott and letting Derek get killed. God, Alexia owed Isaac much more than just an apology.

"Just say it."

"What?"

"What you want to say." Isaac replied, still not looking at her.

"What got into you?" Alexia found herself asking, even tho she knew.

He now faced her, "They killed Derek."

"They did." She nodded slightly, "And I could have saved him. But I didn't."

"What are you talking about?"

"I could have it the dagger differently. I made them fall."

"It wasn't your fault." Isaac let her know, "You may have made mistakes, Lexi, but Derek wasn't one of them. That's on them."

"What do you mean about me making mistakes?" She frowned, noticing now that the way he was looking at her was different, "I never thought I was perfect."

"I did." He confessed, and it broke her heart in two, "But that was my mistake not yours."

"I don't..."

"It was also my mistake to think that for a second we could work out." Isaac continued, "That I could somehow... I don't know... Make you forget about Scott."

Alexia was caught up by surprise.

She wanted to tell him, she had tried many times before. But every moment seemed worse than the one before and now here they were - she had just kissed Scott fifteen minutes ago and was now lying to Isaac's face. God, she was such a terrible person.

"I knew you liked him." He chuckled humorless, "I mean it's pretty obvious."

"Isaac, I'm so sorry."

"You're sorry you like him?"

"No. I mean..." Alexia sighed, tired of pretending, "I'm sorry I hurt you."

"Come on, we both knew. We were each other escape but never each other's home, Lexi. Who are we kidding?" Isaac replied, a soft smile appearing on his face, "It's not like I'm in love with you either."

"That doesn't make me any less sorrier."

"Of course not." He shook his head with a chuckle, "But you should tell Scott. He seems pretty oblivious. I mean you kissed him and he asks you if you're still mad..."

"W-What?" Alexia's eyes widened slightly, "You heard everything?"

"Not everything." Isaac replied, the tone showing he was making fun of her, "But a lot."

"You idiot." She punched his arm, letting out a laugh.

Alexia then found herself resting her head on his shoulder, his head falling against hers too. They stood there for a moment, just appreciating each other, until Isaac broke the silence.

"You know we're still the same, right? Only without the whole kissing thing."

"Yeah." She chuckled.

Alexia was thankful for it. The last thing she needed right now was to lose friend, and maybe that was selfish of her but before the whole kissing thing, Isaac was her friend first so she was really grateful it didn't ruin their friendship.
