"Ladies and gentleman we're now approaching the beautiful city of Boston, Massachusetts.  At this time please raise your tray tables and stay seated, remaining buckled as we prepare for our landing," the flight attendant recites, stirring me from my nap.

I rub the sleep from my eyes and sit up in my seat, glancing out the window of the plane to see the familiar city scape I'd come to know.  I had come home for two days around Christmas a couple of months ago, but it didn't seem like it was long enough.  My parents were absolutely beside themselves when I gave them the good news.  My mother instantly starts to plan who we have to go visit and what food she needs to prepare.

The plane touches down without a problem and I'm able to collect my luggage relatively quickly.  A few people recognize me despite my best efforts to look as casual as possible, but I still manage to make it to my parents home before dinner.

"My beautiful baby, Soph, home at last," my mom sighs as she cups my head in her hands before embracing me in yet another hug.

"Hey kiddo," my dad bellows as he makes his way into the room, giving me a big hug.  "Welcome home."

"I missed you," I say, a content smile falling on my face as I look between the two of them.

Moments later I'm whisked into the dining room to see that we're not as alone as I had thought.  My entire family had apparently been invited to dinner.  My grandmother is the first to rush over to me, hugging me tightly before pulling away and taking in my frame.  "Soph, are you eating regularly?  I watch the news, I see how you celebrities diet," she murmurs as she opens her purse and pulls out a bag of gummy worms.  "I've always got something in my purse in case you ever get hungry," she whispers before patting my cheek lovingly and returning to her seat.

I make my rounds, saying hi to all my relatives and catching up on their lives.  I'm forced to look at what feels like hundreds of pictures of my cousins kids as if I don't see them on facebook every time I go on there.  Regardless, I smile, knowing full well I'll miss this when I head back to LA.

Halfway through dinner there's a frantic knock at the door to which my dad is quick to respond, briskly walking to see what the disturbance is.  The second he opens the door, I see Ella hurdle through excitedly.  Yelling a quick hello to my father as she squeeze past him and quickly runs over me, wrapping her arms around my neck.

"Oh my fucking God Sophia never leave me again," she laughs in my ear as I hug her back tightly.

"I've missed you so much," I admitted, pulling away.  We had a lot to catch up on and I was not about to waste any time.  Glancing at my mother for approval, I point to my room.  She rolls her eyes at my request, more than likely annoyed that I was going to leave her alone with our family but nods her head regardless.

We both rush up the stair and close the door to my room.  "Okay tell me everything," I state excitedly, pulling out the chair at my desk and practically fall into it.

"Sam is perfect," she gushed, dramatically falling onto my bed.  "Literally so great, Sophia."  Whipping her head to face me she sits up on her elbows some.  "You need to meet him," she demands.

"Does he have any cute friends?" I ask, wiggling my eyebrows in her direction.

"I can attempt to arrange something," she quips, pulling out her phone and begins to vigorously type to Sam.

I let out a giggle as I pull out my own phone and instantly notice the stream of texts from Awsten.  After calling him about his song we basically came to the understanding that DM's were out and texting was in.

Awsten:
How cold does it get in Massachusetts this time of year?
Uh what the fuck is this?  It's warmer there than it is here today?
Global warming can kiss my ass.
