The Librarian

Chapter 1

Anne

"And these will be your quarters, hope you find yourself at home and comfortable", headmistress  McGonagall stated, "and welcome to Hogwarts Ms.Anne, we are grateful to have you as the new librarian." "Thank you headmistress", I state as she smiles kindly before walking away.

I then feel a tug on my jeans, looking down I see my son, Andy. "What's up buba?" I ask picking my boy up. He just lays his head on my shoulder probably tired from all the walking around the castle.

I walk into my quarters and into my bedroom which me and Andy are sharing and place Andy on the bed. Making sure to place pillows around him so he wouldn't fall. Glancing up at the clock I see that we have approximately 7 hours until the students arrive and we have to be in the grand hall. With this knowledge I put away our luggage and then take a nap with my son.

I wake up to little hands slapping my face, slowly opening my eyes I see Andy giggling. "Such a silly boy", I say as I begin to tickle him.

I take a glance at the clock to see that we slept a good hour and a half, leaving me approximately 5 1/2 hours to prepare for the students and the feast. But first I should get some food, Andy must be hungry by now.

Remembering that I had packed some of Andy's favorite snacks in his luggage I walk over to look through it. Finally finding his favorite crisps and a pb & j along with a juice box. I go back to the bed and pick up Andy carrying him to the kitchen so he can eat at the table.

Conjuring up a booster seat ( a/n: I couldn't think of what it's actually called) for him I set up his food at the kitchen table. He quietly begins to eat after giving me a small smile.

I watch him eat helping every now and then before picking him up along with some things to keep him occupied and then lead us to the library to set up. Once we walk in I find a spot for him to play and begin to make sure everything is in order.

A few hours later and I had completed my clean up with some help every now and then from Andy. Looking around I walk back to where Andy waddled off giggling like the happy boy he is.

I look at the clock to see that I have a total of 5 hours until the students arrive. Deciding that I have nothing else to do I take Andy back into our quarters and play with him to pass the time.
