Namjoon is a very humble, sweet person, wise beyond his years, and loves to expand his knowledge by learning new cultures. So when you two began to date he asked about your home, your language, the cultures, even the food.
and today was his lucky day, as you flew home with him for your family and there were an array of dishes, but you told Joon to try sambusa, and as he bit into it, he groaned, rolling his eyes, hearing the crunch of the dough and then tasting the chicken. He began to grab more and more plates of food, from iskudheh karis, to a bowl of maraq digaag, you could tell Joon enjoyed learning about the food your culture typically embraces.
He was too tired to drive after eating so much food, and you being just as tired, Joon and you decided to spend the night at your parents house.
Only to wake up to the smell of Canjeero spreading through the house, and as you turned to wake up Joon, he already beat you to the finish line of waking up, you walked down the stairs and there was Joon, stuffing his face with canjeero and drinking Shaax closely after.
“Babe! I see why you’re so thick, you’re eating all this good food!”

Jung Hoseok
Hoseok likes trying new things, whether it be a new dance, a new choreography style, a new way of flowing things with his music, he’s down to try everything new. Especially the food of your homeland, so when you and Hoseok flew back to Ghana for your family reunion, he met everyone in the family, from the old ones, to the new ones, and bonded quickly with all of your cousins and aunts, and even your father, who was very against the thought of you and Hoseok together for some reason. But as soon as he met Hoseok, he bonded with him instantly.
and as your family sat down and began to eat, you took Hoseok up to the food and began showing him dish by dish.
“This is Jollof rice, it’s packed with lots of flavor and spices add kick it up a notch.”
“Oooh babe what’s this, it looks like a wrapped up ball.” he pointed as you put some Jollof rice on his plate,
“That’s kenke. it's my favorite. It's kind of a sourdough dumpling and it's usually served with pepper sauce, fried fish or stew ” you said before filling his plate with food that he might want to try.
“Holy shit. Babe, this is so good, why didn’t you introduce me to your family soon, goddamn this food is amazing.”
