'Beep! Beep! Beep' kiera groaned rolling over in bed to stop her alarm clock. She went into the bathroom and did her morning business after she had finished she went to her walk in closet for something suitable for school she picked out a crop top that had the word 'wanted', a high waist jeans and her converse.
Kiera's outfit
She strolled downstairs in the kitchen to see her parents in their work suit which didn't surprise her at all.
"Well somebody looks good" her mother gush. She gave her a smile and sat at the table.
"Good morning parents" she said kissing both of them on their cheeks. Her father mumbled back a morning and went back to reading the news paper.
"So kiera, I'm coming off of work early today and was wandering if you would many like to go some where to spend some quality mother daughter time after your school end, that is?"
"Sure" kiera shrug stuffing her face with food.
"Really?" Her mother looked genuinely surprise at kiera's answer
"Yeah, I doubt I'll make any friends on the first day that would want to hang out after school. So where are we going?" she asked.
"Good question, i haven't really thought if it. where do you wonna go?"
"I don't know my way around town so I can't really say"kiera said putting her plate into the dishwasher.
"Well we'll decided when I reach home"
"Dad I'm ready!"she said picking up her bag walking outside not waiting for a reply. She stopped dead in her tracks when she realize something.
" Dad, how am I gonna reach home if you're going to work?"
Her father shrugged with a mysterious glint in his eyes "walk" he said in a 'duh' tone "the school's like fifteen minutes from here you shouldn't have a prob"she gaped at her father not only because it's FIFTEEN FRICKEN MINUTES! and she's a lazy ass bitch but he had just said prob instead of problem and he's like 42 not 18.
"But-but that's too long how am I suppose to walk a place I don't really know and did you just say prob I mean how old are you, really" she put emphasis on the word 'prob' he just shrug nonchalantly.
"I'm-" she cut him off with a pointed look as they got in the car with her mother in the passenger Seat and she in the back and said.
"I know how old you are, old man" her father scoff."I'm not all that old as you put it, you make me seems like a eighty year old on life support "
"Could of been" she mumbled under her breath which leads her to have her father glaring at her through the mirror.
"Honey, did you hear what she just said"he glance at his wife who had been texting on the phone more likely business.
"Hear what?"her mother seems obvious to their conversation.
" she just called me, old" he said glaring playfully at kiera again.
"I mean do I ever perform like a eighty year old on life support" he raised his eyebrows at his wife suggestively making kiera gag at what he was implying. Her mother opened her mouth to answer, but before she could kiera beats her to it"Woooooooh, stop right there mom before you answer that remember I'm in the car"her mother grinned hat her before kiera notice that that had pulled up through the school's gate that marked at the top in bold letters 'CHESTNUT VALE PRIVATE SCHOOL' her father drive to the parking lot before finding a space to park. She got out of the car grabbing her bag pack. Looking around the parking lot there were a few students who was around their car that stopped talking to look her way whispering to their friends.
"Have a nice first day at school Darling i love you" her mom said blowing her kisses because kiera stood in front of the drivers seat and her mother occupied the passenger seat. It's still kinda weird for kiera getting so much affection and attention from her parents but she was adjusting to all the changes. It made her heart swells every time they would let down their guards for her and not be the stone hearted couple the media had them to be. She guess they really are going to keep their word about being a family this time.
"Love ya both" she said looking at her dad expectantly. Her saw her stare and started reversing out of the parking lot with a grin and the same glint from earlier in his eyes.
"HAVE FUN WALKING AFTER SCHOOL, LOVE YOU SWEETHEART!" he shouted not so lowly making blood rushed to her cheeks. Looking around the parking lot where students were laughing at her and pointing. She quickly entered the school's door leading to the hall way where she was met with noise of the students talking to each other. She got a few glance and whispers but otherwise from that the rest of the student body was busy talking to their friends to notice her. She saw a sigh on a wooden door further up the corridor that reads 'administration office'she walked up to r kiera with her glasses falling on her nose.
" how may I help you?"she asked kiera nicely.
Kiera smiled"hi, I'm kiera Buckermen the new girl" she said awkwardly as she shifted from her right to her left foot something she did when she's nervous. Honestly she had never need in situations like this so she didn't know what to do.
"Oh yes, welcome to chestnut vale high!. I have your schedule and your locker number and code along with a map" kiera took the papers she gave her mumbling a 'thank you' before the old ladies voice stopped her in her tracks.
"Hey wait, forgive me I haven't really been remembering things these days, a student from the student's escorts will be showing you around he was suppose to be here by now" she looked at the clock that hung lowly on the wall that showed 8:00am apearently the school started 8:30am so she still had thirty minutes to kill.
