Cayde went to his quarters and got his best armor and put it on. He got his Ace of Spades, a powerful hand cannon, and was on his way to the Tower Courtyard to rendezvous with the other Vanguards.
Zavala got his Sweet Business, a brutal minigun-like rifle, and got his best armor and went to the courtyard.
Ikora went back and got her Mida Multi-Tool and put on her armor. She went to the Tower Courtyard and met up with the other Vanguards.
"Zavala, you never actually told us the mission." Cayde added.
"Right." Zavala started. "There is a group of rogue mercenaries called the Dying Light. They used to be guardians, like us."
"Wait-" Ikora started. "They used to be guardians? What happened?"
"Yeah." Cayde added as he stroked Colonel's back.
"They didn't agree with our ways. They didn't believe in standing up for the ones who have no light. They believe that if you have power, use it to rule with an iron fist." Zavala explained. "They are tyrants. And they need to be stopped."
"Stopped?" Ikora asked. "Or brought back into the light?"
"We can try bringing them back. I'm not guaranteeing that they will, though. I actually doubt that they will." Zavala added.
"So, wait." Cayde started. "There's a group of mercenary guardians who didn't like what we fought for so they left and started their own cult?"
"That's right." Zavala responded.
"What the hell?" Cayde asked.
"I don't know either." Ikora added.
"Alright, we leave now. Everyone let's go and board my ship. My Ghost can drive us so we can make a plan." Zavala ordered.
