The Wanders of the World

Chapter 4

Max was laying down in the hallway. He heard the marine called for him, he ran as fast as he could. He got closer and closer to the marine. When he found him and jump to his side and made him loose his balance.

Foreign soldier: "Open fire!"
(Automatic fire)
Max manage to save the marine. They both crawl to a room next to them.
Max started whimpering loud. The marine quickly checked Max body and saw a bullet hole on stomach.

Marine:" Damn it! It's ok Max." He picks him up and put him in a sofa facing the door. The marine ready his weapon and opened fire.

Max slowly passes out, seeing the marine running towards him.

Marine: " Hang in there little guy."
Max looses conscious. He later wakes up in the middle of the streets.

Marine:" Come on! Stay with my!" As he ran he made a hard left turn to an alley making him slip. " Aghh!! My leg."
He sprained his and and more of the foreign soldiers were getting closer.

(Automatic fire)

Max's vision is getting blurry as he's about to pass out again. Watching the marine desperately fighting to survive.

(Helicopter fly-by)
Man on radio: "Ace 2-1, this is Hunter 1-1. We have a visual on you. I suggest you find cover now! We're about to light this place up."

Marine: "About time you got here. Do it!" He covers Max with his body to protect him.

(Intense fire and explosives )
The foreign soldiers were dropping like flies. One by one getting their bodies pierced with multiple bullets from the helicopter. It torn half of them into pieces. Some with no face to remember. The helicopter had stopped shooting.

Man on radio: "Hunter 1-1 to Ace 2-1, all targets are down. Coming in for landing stand clear."

The marine picked up Max and carried him to the helicopter. Max was only able to see the marine one last time before he pass out.

Marine : " I got you little guy."

Max passes out when they boarded the helicopter.

(Echoes)
Pilot: "HQ, this is Hunter 1-1, we're heading back to base. We got one wounded. The others are KIA. Over."

Pilot: "Copy. Out."
(Whispers)
Alice:" I'm here Max."
