Chapter 5

(inside the helicopter)
Pilot: " Control tower, this is Hunter 1-1. Requesting to land. Over.

Man on radio: "Hunter 1-1. Permission granted. Head to hatch 6. Out."
A hatch opened on the mountain. A floor was moving up while the watch was opening like if I was a elevator. The helicopter lands and turned off the engine. The marine was still putting pressure on the wound where Max was hit. The hatch closed and the floor was descending. After a few seconds, a group of medical staff were waiting for the elevator to come to a stop so they can help the injured. Not realizing it was a dog that needs medical attention.

Medic 1:" So he's the injured one." Looking confused.

Marine:" Yes, are you going to continue asking questions or you going to help me out." Getting frustrated.

Medic 1:" Alright. You and you go and prepare a table for him. We'll let you know when we're done."

(PA Announcer)
All combat personal, please report to briefing station.

All pilot personal, report to hanger bay.
(PA Announcer ends)

(Marine point of view)
Medic 2:" Alright Maximus, we need you to sign this and this, and we're set. We'll contact you soon."

Maximus: "Ok. Keep me updated if anything happens." He turns around and walks towards the briefing station with the rest of the other combat units. As he walks over to the briefing station, he saw lots of wounded soldiers being treated and some with blankets covering their faces. Others on the shooting range and fixing their weapons and some are just in the cafeteria. He continues to walk and bumps into a friend of his.

Alexandra:" Hey Max, I heard what happened on your mission. Sorry to hear."

Maximus:" They we're good men, they shouldn't die in a place like that." Punches wall.

Alexandra:" This is no time moarn. They know what they signed for. They know the consequences." She tries to comfort Maximus.

They got closer to the briefing room.

A man was waiting next to a door.

Mike:" You got them killed, you fool!"
He quickly tries to throw a punch but Alexander stopped him by grabbing his fist and throwing him to the ground.

Maximus:" There was nothing I can do. We were ambushed by the time we got there!."

Marine 1:" Hey knock it off!"

Marine 2:" What the hell is going on here!"

Marine 1: " Get up and head to your post marines." Looks at the other marine." You on me."

(Marine 1 and 2 left)

(Inside the briefing station)

A man with a metal arm was talking about our new mission. He's the commanding officer of this base. He told us that this mission could be our last mission if we do this right. We know for sure there will be a lot of casualties. We got our assignments. We all know what we have to do, where to go, and when to move.

In the next hour when we we're dismissed from the briefing station. The PA Announcer went off.

PA Announcer:" Maximus, report to the medical bay. Maximum please report to the medical bay."

He walks for about 5 minutes, listening to other soldiers conversation.

Soldier 1:" Man I can't wait to see my kid. He's turning 5 this week."

Soldier 2:" Damn dog. My girl is expecting a boy. I'm going be a father dog!"

Young Soldier: "I got to have a chance to talk to my mom. She told me that our boys took back New York."

Pilot 1: " We can win this fight. Can't wait to see my girl."

(Maximus thoughts)
"You're all I have little boy. You better make it."

He went inside the medical bay and say the doctor who was treating Max.

Maximus: "How is he doc.?"

Medic 1:"We did what we can using our equipment, but he's doing fine. He's stable and back feeling like nothing ever happened to him."

Maximus:" Thank you doc.!" He gets excited like a child getting their first Christmas present.

Maximus:" Come here boy!" Shouting happily. Max quicky ran towards Maximus and jump into his arms. He then began to lick his face. They were both really happy to be reunited with one another.

Maximus took Max to his barracks and spend time together before it's time to begin their next mission.
