It was 6:00 PM; it was time for your weekly date with Yoosung. At least once a week, but usually more, you made time for just the two of you to be together after work. It was a great time to relax and unwind after a tough day.
You were on your way to the usual spot with a bouquet of flowers in your hand. He didn't seem to mind that you kept buying him flowers, so you gave him a fresh bunch for every date.
You had finally arrived at your destination, a well kept field full of flowers. There were pathways that went all around, making it easy to access for any visitor. You slowly made your way to where Yoosung was, taking in today's beautiful weather. No one else was here today, which was how you preferred it; it made the date more intimate.
When you reached him you put the flowers down in front of him and sat down. "Isn't today just lovely?" You spoke, looking up at the cloudless, blue sky. "On days like these, I feel grateful for the life I have, and the wonderful people in it," You continued, while lying down with him.
For a while you sat in a comfortable silence, just enjoying the moment. This is how it usually went, just sitting together. What you admired most was how peaceful you felt, it was good for clearing your mind.
You were standing in a field, your fingers laced with Yoosung's. "Come on (Y/N)!" He said giggling and pulling you along. "We're almost there!" You followed him, smiling. "Ta-da!" He shouted, throwing his arms out and making jazz hands. You laughed at his silliness and looked around you. You were standing in a secluded area, and in front of you was a blanket and basket, he had set up a picnic for you. "Yoosung, this is amazing," You said while giving him a hug and a kiss. "Only the best for my best," He spoke. "I love you (Y/N)," "Love you too," You two sat down, and enjoyed the picnic. Everything was perfect, it was a beautiful day and you got to spend it with your favorite person. You wouldn't have it any other way.
"Well, I think I should be heading home now," You said while standing up and brushing your clothes off. Yoosung didn't respond. He never responded. The only thing close were the words in front of you.
Rest In Peace
Yoosung KimYou traced the words as you read them, choking back tears. How you only wished you could have another date, another kiss, another anything. It didn't matter, you would take it as long as you were together.
